(6:23 p.m. GMT) -- Virgin Voyages has confirmed its new ship Scarlet Lady will call in at two UK ports next year -- Dover and Liverpool.

Former Spice Girl Geri Horner confirmed the news -- which was part-revealed at last week's CLIA Conference -- at a special launch event in London tonight attended by Virgin Voyages' president and CEO Tom McAlpin.

Virgin also revealed that Mark Ronson -- who has already been signed up by the line -- has confirmed four performances at the line's private club, The Beach Club, at Bimini in 2020. DJ and record producer, Diplo, will also perform at The Beach Club in 2020.

Scarlet Lady will call in at the two UK ports in February next year, hosting travel agents, press and VIPs, before heading across to its homeport of Miami.

"I’m thrilled to be part of the Virgin Voyages' Creative Collective, helping lead the charge in music. Sir Richard Branson and the Virgin brand were legendary game-changers in the music industry and it's a thrill to join them as they bring that same spirit to sea travel," Ronson said.

Tom McAlpin added: "We see music as an essential element to a holiday, not just for parties but also as the soundtrack to laughter, relaxation and much more.

"It’s an honour to have an outstanding artist like Mark Ronson helping us develop our Sailor passenger experience, alongside an exciting lineup of DJs joining our On Deck residency programme."

The 2,750-passenger adults-only ship is currently being built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, and will go into service in March 2020 sailing four- and five-night Caribbean and Cuba itineraries out of Miami.

Scarlet Lady will have no main dining room, no set dining times, no dress code and no buffet. It will also have a number of industry firsts including the first vinyl record store at sea and the tattoo parlour on a ship.
