(3:58 p.m. EST) -- The largest suite on any luxury cruise ship will be unveiled on Regent Seven Seas' Splendor when the 750-passenger ship launches in February 2020.
Following in the footsteps of its sister ship, Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor will feature one Regent Suite on the top deck, with amenities such as a handcrafted bed, in-suite spa, and a wraparound balcony. Seven Seas Splendor's suite, however, will boast significantly more square feet, with a total of 4,443 -- and its bed will cost a total of $200,000 (roughly £152,500 and AUD$275,500).
Other unique features of the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath suite include a hot tub on the balcony, 30 percent more space in the master bath and in-suite spa, and a fully stocked bar in the glass-enclosed solarium. The spa is comprised of a sauna, steam room and heated loungers; occupants also are entitled to unlimited in-suite spa treatments.
"The Regent Suite is the ultimate example of how Seven Seas Splendor will astonish luxury travelers with an unrivaled experience, and it reflects the superior level of detail you'll uncover throughout this stunning ship," said Regent's president and CEO, Jason Montague.
"In the Regent Suite, whether you're entertaining friends in your elegant living room, enjoying caviar or lobster in your dining room, relaxing on your handcrafted Hastens Vividus bed, delighting in unlimited spa services in your personal in-suite treatment area, or exploring a seaside village with your personal car and guide coordinated by your dedicated head butler, the holistic experience represents luxury perfected."
Regent Suite perks include butler service, a personal car with a driver and guide in every port, and first-class domestic airfare. Regent Seven Seas Cruises' fares cover flights, standard shore excursions, alcoholic beverages, gratuities and unlimited Wi-Fi, among other inclusions; passengers have the option to pay up for premium tours.
