(AEST 12.30pm) -- Travelmarvel today announced the order of three new European river ships. Sailing on Travelmarvel’s European Gems itinerary from Amsterdam to Budapest and vice versa, the first of the brand-new Contemporary Class vessels will commence sailing in April 2020, with the two sister ships setting sail in April 2021.
“Every aspect of the new ships are designed with the Travelmarvel guest in mind, we have included more social spaces, modern fittings and state-of-the-art design to ensure the ships suit our guests’ desires,” explained Travelmarvel’s CEO David Cox.
The new ships will feature a more casual dining and social area, McGeary’s Bar, where hearty pub-style meals can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. Both the main restaurant and Vista Lounge will feature floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. The Vista Lounge’s bi-folding windows have been designed to open to allow uninterrupted airflow and outdoor access.
A new Contemporary Class deck design allows maximum access to the ship’s Sun Deck which includes a rooftop bar, shady spots to unwind in the terrace garden, and a heated whirlpool.
