(4:20 p.m. EST) -- Cunard will offer a full season of Alaska sailings in 2020, June through September.
Fresh out of a November 2018 refit, Cunard's Queen Elizabeth will mark the cruise line's return to Alaskan waters in May 2019 after a long hiatus. According to a news release, the line is already increasing its Alaska offerings into the following season due to high demand.
The expanded offerings will include 10 roundtrip voyages from Vancouver, ranging from nine to 12 nights, and spend extended time in ports such as Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka. Scenic cruising days will include the Inside Passage, the Hubbard Glacier, Sawyer Glacier, Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm.
Passengers have the ability to combine voyages together, including the Alaska portions plus a one-night Independence Day cruise to San Francisco and North Pacific Crossings from Yokohama or to Tokyo.
Additionally, Cunard will continue its partnership with Rocky Mountaineer railroad tours, offering three- to five-night pre- and post-cruise extensions into the Canadian Rockies.
Cunard's 2020 Alaska sailings go on sale January 7, 2019 for loyalty members and January 8 to the general public. Check the Cunard website for early-booking deals.
