(8:05 a.m. EST) -- West Coast cruisers looking forward to the December 2019 launch of Carnival Cruise Line's newest ship, Carnival Panorama, now have another reason to bounce up and down with excitement. The line today revealed the Long Beach, California-based ship will offer the first-ever SkyZone trampoline park at sea.
Carnival Panorama's SkyZone park will span more than 3,000 square feet on Decks 6 and 7, and will feature a 12-lane trampoline court as well as an adjacent recreational area with a climbing wall, balance/jousting beam, Sky Ladder climbing apparatus and Tug of War -- all features found in select land-based SkyZone facilities. (SkyZone operates trampoline recreational centers throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the UK, Australia, India and Saudi Arabia. Its facilities comprise wall-to-wall, connected trampolines in large, open spaces.)
Panorama's SkyZone will take the place of the IMAX theater found on sister ships Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon.
In addition to the trampoline park features, the space will offer fitness classes for all levels (on top of those offered in the fitness center), special activities for families with little ones in tow, and dodgeball and basketball games. At night, the park will host blacklight glow parties.
To celebrate the upcoming launch and unveiling of the SkyZone trampoline park, Carnival will feature a float in the 130th Rose Bowl Parade, on January 1, 2019 in Pasadena, California. The floral replica of Carnival Panorama will include a red and blue funnel (Carnival's most notable feature), a water park and a trampoline. It also will host a Lido Deck Party for parade attendees.

"As a Los Angeles-based company, being a part of the Rose Parade is a truly unique and unforgettable way to announce our first SkyZone at sea which will provide guests of all ages an opportunity to experience 'wall to wall aerial action' aboard the amazing new Carnival Panorama," SkyZone president, Jeff Platt, said in a statement.
Carnival Panorama, which officially debuts on December 11, 2019, will have many of the same popular attractions found across the Vista class, as well as its own unique features -- more of which will be announced in the coming months. It will sail seven-night Mexican Riviera cruises to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, roundtrip from Long Beach.
While Carnival's SkyZone attraction is the first trampoline park at sea, other cruise ships already offer their own take on trampoline recreational activities. Among them are bungee trampoline on Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas, and the SkyPad virtual reality bungee trampoline experience on Mariner of the Seas and Independence of the Seas.
