(3.45 p.m. GMT) -- MSC Cruises has confirmed it will sail a full UK season with an "enhanced" ship from its current fleet in 2021.
The unnamed ship will undergo a full refurbishment in dry dock before deploying to the UK, where it will be based in Southampton.
UK managing director Antonio Paradiso said: "As part of MSC Cruises continued commitment to the UK market, in 2021 we will sail a ship from Southampton for a full EX-UK season.
"The ship will be enhanced ship from our existing fleet which will undergo a full refurbishment in dry dock before sailing from the UK. We have had great success this year sailing MSC Magnifica from Southampton and we are looking to build on this with a full commitment from the UK market."
To mark 100 days until the launch of MSC Bellissima in Southampton, the line has also revealed it will become the official global partner of Chelsea Football Club.
Commenting on announcement, which was made at Stamford Bridge, the official home of Chelsea Football Club, Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said: "For MSC Cruises, this is an exciting opportunity to be working with the respected and highly successful Chelsea FC -- the brand as well as the overall organization.
"It is part of MSC Cruises' strategic focus on the UK & Ireland, with the two markets being a key part of the next phase of our global growth plan."
As part of the link-up, Chelsea FC memorabilia will be on display for guests in the British pub on board MSC Bellissima, which launches in Southampton in 99 days' time.
And representatives from the football club will attend the naming ceremony, on March 2, 2019 in Southampton.
The line has just revealed a host of new features that will appear on MSC Bellissima.
