We chose this cruise ship because we thought it would be hassle free travelling from Newcastle - How WRONG we were, after arriving at Cruise Terminal we queued for 2 hours outside on road&pavement)with all our luggage before it was taken from us, then we had to wait another 45mins to check-in. We booked this cruise 9 months before & paid full price for an inside cabin as they wanted double the ...

We are retired,we holiday at least 6 times a year and at the Glasgow cruise show in 2016 we were taken in by this cruise as it was somewhere we had wanted to go for years it sailed from a port only 90 miles from our home and we had a free few week, so why not!. Departure was a farse. Massive 'Q's' o get into the car park and no toilets. No bus to take us to the ship [it was only 100mts away but we ...

We saw everything we hoped we would see and it was lovely. However, the ship itself was very poor. Within an hour of boarding the Captain informed us that there was a "level 3 sanitation" in progress. We soon discovered this meant complete shut down of swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzi, games room and laundrette. We were not informed of this problem before boarding but we had to sign that we had not ...

We sailed on the Thomson Spirit to Amsterdam. Thankfully it was only a 3 night cruise. The ship is definitely showing its age and is in desperate need of a major refit. It reminded me of a ferry rather than a cruise ship. The swimming pool is tiny and not big enough to swim in. The communal areas are in places a bit shabby. The only saving grace is the staff who were all very nice and ...

Just arrived back from Midnight Sun Cruise with Discovery. This was the worst cruise we have ever been on and I have been on many all over the world. Hurricane Hectar changed our plans and we headed for a safe port. I totally understand this. What I don't understand that when the hurricane passed, we headed south instead of north. I was not alone in thinking this. Many people I spoke to would have ...

What an awful experience, from the boarding debacle in Newcastle to the dire pub singer in the lounge it was one disappointment after another. Luckily the destinations more than made up for the forced jolity of the ship life. We were lucky to have a balcony which gave us some relief from the rampaging kids, vest adorned Neanderthals and screaming women. It was pot luck with the service, some very, ...

Seen an all inclusive cruise in TUI in Aberdeen and as we enjoyed the previous cruise with Barr head travel we thought we would enjoy this one been all inclusive we surmised we were getting a good deal. NOT. First we were given an inside cabin but paid for an outside had to move the next morning. The Food was cold all the time we were on the ship. The ship was delayed going into 3 ports so we had ...
