I have been on many cruises over the last 30 years and this was by far the best. The food was amazing. Interestingly, the main dining room was better than the specialty restaurants. The service from the crew was attentive without being obstrusive. The ship is gorgeous with a number of innovative features like the snow grotto and the tropical bird sounds in the public restrooms. The "included" ...
I first chose the cruise since it left from N.Y. It also went to Bermuda (due to weather we didn't make it in) The size of the ship was perfect....I don't like mega ships. Anything less than 1,000 is great. We were not full so we only had 600 passengers. The food was terrific and the service was outstanding. The ship was beautifully decorated and I liked the fact that the minimum age was 18, ...
We chose Viking based on what others have said at work. Our other 7 cruises have been with Royal Caribbean and when our friends asked us to compare the two, we simply told them that there was no comparison. Viking was superior in every aspect of the cruise. The first night was especially memorable since the ship headed into Hurricane/Tropical Storm Phillipe off the East coast. The ocean was ...
We chose Viking for 2 reasons.. First to try the Viking experience and second its itinerary allow us to see Bermuda ..
The cruise started with us sailing into a serious tropical depression. Most passenger were sick and confined to their state rooms for 2 days Later the question on passenger's minds was:.Why would the captain take this ship into a SERIOUS storm jeopardizing all the ...
Dear ZRICK,
Given your description of the incident that occurred during your voyage with us, it’s understandable that you would be concerned and alarmed. While our capable crew is well...
The new ship is well appointed with commodious rooms, heated bathroom floors, desk, and a proper balcony. The food was excellent for dinner but lunch and especially breakfast were ordinary and sometimes unimaginative. The entertainment was intimate and excellent overall. The Munch drawings and tapestry recreations gave the ship a classy look. Drinks were reasonably priced when not free during ...
First of all, let me start by saying that my sister and I have been cruising for 20+ years and in all those years this is the worst cruise we have ever been on. We booked this a month before sailing with vouchers from a cancelled cruise leaving Oct 13 requiring us to fly back from hurricane devastated Puerto Rico which we felt was not safe for 2 senior ladies so we re-booked on the Oct 29 cruise ...
Dear Long Island Girl,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We sincerely regret that your Viking experience fell below expectations. The disappointments you describe in...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to try Viking and they had a great price with free airfare.
We didn't get to go to Bermuda because of a storm. The storm caused extreme rocking of the ship which made the first two days not much fun. Because we weren't able to go to Bermuda, we were on the ship from Sunday until Friday when we made our first port. The cruise was relaxing but there wasn't ...
I wanted a cruise that had a few more sea days. Because of the weather we wound up having a few more sea days than were originally scheduled. On Sunday and Monday the seas were rough between New York and Bermuda. Because of this, the Bermuda portion of our cruise was cancelled. By Tuesday the seas were calm and remained so for the rest of the cruise.
The crew was magnificent during the ...
This ship has a surprising spaciousness for a smaller ship, and it took me almost a week to figure out why: every cabin is an exterior room with balcony, so there's lots of extra space inside. The decor is lovely - lots of Viking stuff - and the staff is great.
Even though the weather out of New York started out very wet with rocky seas (it was a transition cruise and very low priced) ...
This was our first Viking Cruise. We were continually impressed by the care and concern of all the staff. Meals had great variety and the varying ice cream treats were always tempting.
Evening entertainment was top notch and if it was scheduled to start at 9:15....it started at 9:15! The shore ports were fun and interesting and gave us a great opportunity to visit islands that we had not ...
