Enjoyed the main dining room very much and also Manfred's.
Did not really enjoy Chef's Table very much as it was fixed and limited.
We like wine pairings but found this a waste of time.
Service on board ship was 2-1 with 600 passengers makes it east to embark, disembark and tender was a breeze.
Liked the free excursions but the island tours are really not too exciting. Need better ...
We took this ship after four river cruises in Europe with Viking. It was a good cruise but a rough beginning when we hit a Tropical Storm out of New York and immediately began to bounce around. One window in the spa area was smashed in and a passenger injured. Sher was helicoptered out the next day. The ship is very small for rough weather and doesn't ride well.
Our cabin was small and had only ...
This cruise was a replacement cruise for a similar Caribbean Cruise offed by Viking a few weeks earlier. The original cruise sailed out and back to San Juan, Puerto Rico shortly after a major hurricane came through PR and several of the Caribbean Islands on the itinerary. Viking customer service was WONDERFUL booking us a different cruise several weeks later.
What is there not to like about ...
We choose this cruise because we hadn't been to the islands before and the cruise was half price with free air.
This is our second cruise with Viking. We really enjoy the small ship. There are no big crowds. It's very relaxing.
The only problem with this cruise was that the first day we were in a storm and it was pretty rough. Once we got through that it was great, although we had ...
We chose this cruise around the Caribbean sea because it matched up with our wedding date/time off for a honeymoon. We had a nice time, even though we were the youngest on the cruise by about 40 years. We did not take our teenage daughter, even if we had wanted to because on the ocean cruises your child must be over the age of 18.
The food was top notch, impeccable. The quality and the ...
The new ship is well appointed with commodious rooms, heated bathroom floors, desk, and a proper balcony. The food was excellent for dinner but lunch and especially breakfast were ordinary and sometimes unimaginative. The entertainment was intimate and excellent overall. The Munch drawings and tapestry recreations gave the ship a classy look. Drinks were reasonably priced when not free during ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to try Viking and they had a great price with free airfare.
We didn't get to go to Bermuda because of a storm. The storm caused extreme rocking of the ship which made the first two days not much fun. Because we weren't able to go to Bermuda, we were on the ship from Sunday until Friday when we made our first port. The cruise was relaxing but there wasn't ...
We picked this cruise because of the ports of call. We left NY Harbor on a Sunday during a Northeaster. .Many people were seasick but the crew did a great job helping everyone. We missed one port of call due to the storm. However, before we ended the trip we were informed by email that Viking have us a credit to use on another trip. I have been on other ships (not Viking) and had problems that ...
The ship was beautiful and the service was wonderful. There was enough to do on the ship. The entertainment was fine, we enjoyed the lectures. The cabin could use some additional storage for folded clothes. The excursions we selected were O.K. but the panorama tour of St. Lucia and the Grand Cayman were really boring. We have been on your river cruises and the food was outstanding, the food was ...
We loved the cruise. All of the crew was wonderful. Always engaged with the passengers - hello, how is your day, do you need anything.... Our room steward was outstanding.
We ate most of our meals at the World Café; two at The Restaurant; and two at Manfredi's and one at the Pool Grill. We waited too long to make reservations at the Chef's Table. :-( The food was delicious ...
