This was our second Viking cruise (first ocean cruise). You CANNOT find more friendlier/attentive personal staff than the crew working on the Viking Neptune. Every want/every need is accounted for. Every member at every level is courteous and friendly all day, every day. Shout out to the dining staff, the Seaciety band members who entertained us and the bar staff that made sure our every ...

A first class experience... cruise destinations, excursion tours, staff, ships amenities - were top of the line. A wonderful cruise.

We wanted an ocean cruise (first time) close to home to avoid jet lag and language interpretation issues. The eastern seacoast and the St Lawrence seaway easily met the cruise we wanted. The staterooms were a little short on space compared to the long ships but entirely adequate. Drawers for storing clothing could have be larger. The meals were always excellent especially the dinners at ...

We were 3 retired couples traveling together. This was not our first Viking cruise. We have nothing but compliments and zero complaints about the Neptune or the Viking staff. The Neptune is a beautiful ship built and finished in the impressive and beautiful Viking style. The finish and attention to detail was impeccable. It was very quiet and smooth riding. We really liked the smaller size of ...

This cruise was perfect for our family, allowing for a wonderful reunion. Food was superb with ample choices for every appetite. Wine was offered with every lunch and dinner. Staff was very helpful, courteous and always smiling. The demographic leaned more towards a 50+ crowd, and activities aboard ship were more cerebral and relaxed. If you are looking for a party boat, this is not for you. If ...

Was interested in a North American cruise to explore areas we’ve never been to. No time zone changes or language barriers. We frequently choose Viking based on superior service, staff, variety of shore excursions and dedication to cleanliness on ship. We book out 6 months in advance to take advantage of various promotions. On this trip, in addition to typical discounts, the gratuities were ...

After paying for a 2 day pre extension and transfers we were left at the airport late at night after a cross country trip. Our flight home was changed by Viking 14 days before departure. I arranged our seats with Viking air prior to leaving as a medical condition required certain seats and I was given seat numbers. When we arrived at airport for trip home Viking had not secured those seats and ...

Good cruise, terrible airline arrangements

We have done two Viking River cruises and they were fantastic, this Ocean cruise was just OK. Our Air arrangements made by Viking were horrible. They wouldn't get us preassigned seats until 24 hours before the flight and the Airline said we probably would not be sitting together. I called and complained to Viking and they blamed the Airline, but Viking was the one that chose the cheapest fare ...

Soft rolling waves making their way towards us and the sun is faintly peaking through the misty horizon this early morning as if it shares the sleepiness many sentient beings must be feeling now. I am relaxed knowing there's nothing we need to do today except relax and enjoy as we sail the Atlantic, northeast towards Iceland. Comfortably sitting in an armchair with a cup of coffee, facing the ...

The Saturn is the newest ship in the Viking cruise ship fleet. The ship is beautiful and pristine. The staff aboard ship provide excellent service and seem to be in a permanent state of happiness. Very crew member I encountered greater me with a smile and a “good morning or good evening or have a good day. The food choices were almost endless. The quality of food was excellent in all of the ...

We were greeted at Newark Airport by two men who handled our luggage and walked us out to the curb where a driver in a large van met us and drove us to the Hudson River pier. Easy peasy. And the cruise got better, if possible, from there. The crew was incredibly kind and helpful and friendly. Because of ice in the waterways, we were unable to to to Newfoundland (on my bucket list for ...
