This was our second Viking cruise (first ocean cruise). You CANNOT find more friendlier/attentive personal staff than the crew working on the Viking Neptune. Every want/every need is accounted for. Every member at every level is courteous and friendly all day, every day.

We wanted an ocean cruise (first time) close to home to avoid jet lag and language interpretation issues. The eastern seacoast and the St Lawrence seaway easily met the cruise we wanted. The staterooms were a little short on space compared to the long ships but entirely adequate. Drawers for storing clothing could have be larger.

We were greeted at Newark Airport by two men who handled our luggage and walked us out to the curb where a driver in a large van met us and drove us to the Hudson River pier. Easy peasy.
