Worst cruise to date

A bit of background. We have sailed (cruised) with at least 8 different lines over the past 24 years, have taken short 3 day and two trans-Atlantic trips, and stayed in insides to suites. I only offer this because I didn't believe this trans-Atlantic cruise could turn out so poorly. Pros were entertainment, cruise director and his activities, ship layout, venues for eating and/or drinking were ...

This was the first time my wife had been to Europe, so what better way to see lots of places and spend five days as see crossing the Atlantic than sail on the beautiful Norwegian Pearl. We have sailed the Pearl Five times and loved it every time. The ship is in great repair and the staff is always friendly. The food on every cruise we have made on the Pearl is always above par to say the least. ...

Not what we have been told about quality of Norwegian cruises

Review for Norwegian Pearl to Europe - All

First Europe cruise with what we were told would be one of the best cruise companies out there. What we ended up with is one of the worse cruises I have ever been on. To be fair most of the passengers that we spoke with commented that they have always had good cruises with Norwegian and they could not figure out why this cruise was so bad, sorry to say this was my fist with this company. First ...

Never again!

What a total disaster of a ship. I can’t say one good thing about it. The staff was uninformed, food was horrible, excursions horrible, entertainment horrible. There’s just not one good thing I can say. NCL owes everyone on that ship a refund. They totally failed on everything including how the virus epidemic was handled. Up until this cruise I had become a NCL fan. Enjoyed my last 3 ...

Sick Ship

Review for Norwegian Pearl to Transatlantic

It was 13 days from NYC to Amsterdam I'm an experienced cruiser. This is the first time I have experienced such a sick ship. Norovirus was rampant from day two! Sick passengers or crew were allowed aboard this ship! This was 13 days of pure displeasure. Many of the crew had bad attitudes. I experienced one of the Supervisors making excuses regarding sanitation methodology. With this type ...

Horrible - Don’t book NCL!

I usually do not write reviews but I had to in this case. This trip was just under $7000.00 dollars, not an inexpensive trip! Yet we booked this trip because in our minds this was a trip of a lifetime! As a seasoned cruiser I had wanted to go to Ireland and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.... boy was I wrong! From the minute we got to NYC to get on the ship we had problems! First, not ...

Cruise was a disaster

From the min. We boarded to the time we departed all we did was try and not get sick . We did not want to miss the different ports of call , We ended up mostly staying in our cabin except to go on the excursions and eat. What a waste of getting to know and see the ship . Generally we ate only in the Resturant’s for our meals . We stayed away from buffet in fear of catching the virus ...

Noro virus ... unappetizing food ... mundane shows

The itinerary was exactly what I was looking for. However, as soon as we were on board, the upsell was relentless. I began to feel very very pressured and uncomfortable. The cruise across the Atlantic was wild. However, it was unnerving when the captain came on and said he didn't anticipate the weather. We were rocking bad ... 12 to 15 ft waves. I thought they could avoid those issues. Then ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

35th anniversary, wanted to get to some highlights in northern Europe - first cruise (and most likely last ever) My wife rolled her ankle the day of the cruise and was experiencing some discomfort so we went to the medical services on the ship. There was a couple there before us, the wife looked like death warmed over and we listened to them fill out a form of where they ate over the last 3 ...
