The Food

I never departed from NYC and won't do it again. The water was very rough. The cabin was great. Just large enough for the two of us. Wouldn't want more than 2 in the room though. We had a balcony. Lovely view. The food was wonderful. We liked the main dinning room most. We especially liked Omar our waiter a couple of times. The afternoon movies in the Crystal Atrium were very noisy. ...

Fab cruise until the point that we re-entered US territory at Port Canaveral having left Bermuda two days previously. We were informed of the US immigration requirements the night we left Bermuda by letter stating that everyone had to leave ship, and could not return until everyone had been seen. Having visited Florida several times, we planned to stay local, and return to the ship for breakfast ...

Not bad, but could be better

I mainly decided to take this cruise because I wanted a longer trip (10 nights) and I wanted to go to both Bermuda and the Bahamas. The downside to this was going with a smaller ship. The ship itself was fine, but the activities on-board were pretty poorly run. As far as the ship, I thought it was very nicely updated and clean. I had a basic interior room, but it was very clean and spacious ...

Bermuda, Florida & the Bahamas

I chose this cruise because it was a different itinerary from the usual cruises from NYC. It visited Bermuda, my favorite island, in the spring which was a new experience for me. I usually have been on cruises to Bermuda in the summer. It also visited the Bahamas before returning to NYC. A major drawback on this cruise was stopping in Port Canaveral after visiting Bermuda and having to ...

Ship Great - Dining Room Food Was a Disappointment

With over 15 cruises on various ships and companies, we decided to take the NCL Pearl from Tampa to New York 9 April 19 with some close friends. First impressions are often lasting impressions. Early impression embarkation was very inefficient. We were asked to be at the ship at 11:00 which had us in line to board the boat for about 60 minutes. Then allowed to board our rooms were not available ...

Great staff, awful cruise

Stay far away. NOT advertised as "family cruise," despite it being one for school vacation. ALL entertainment geared toward children; absolute bore 99% of the time. Whether at sea or in port, activities were all the same and poorly done. Entertainment was professional, but literally 45 minute shows and no adult-centered themes or types of shows. Cruise director was GREAT, as were staff--but ...

Worst cruise in my life

I have taken many cruises. This the worst cruise that I have taken in terms of dinning, service, and information provided. The cooking tasted terrible. The serivce at dinning room is absolutely terrible. The dinning room is almost empty and you still have to wait to be seated and to be served. I could find any information on how to contact the restaurants. I was told that we could get shore ...

Great cruise with one major issue

This was our first NCL cruise. We loved many things about it: The food, the entertainment, the bars and the kids club staff were all outstanding. The major problem was related to the fact that the ship was ill-prepared for the onslaught of children. Many times us and other families were not able to put our kids in the club because they were at capacity. Check-in and checkout at the club took a ...
