The Great Outdoors. Has a nice size bar and buffet. Best of all, it's own soft-serve ice machine.

Do not celebrate your special occasions here!

When I made the reservation for my friend and I and our husbands, I mentioned to NCL agent that we are celebrating my 44 year anniversary. Big year right? Who can say that these days! The agent told me they will send us a cake with a card to celebrate our special occasion..We were left empty!! Our mattress was so uncomfortable that my husband and I received back pain. One week later, we are ...

This ship went to the towns that I wanted to visit and ended up in Quebec City, Canada, which was important to me. The rooms were itty-bitty. The bath had doors to toilet, etc. but no more than 1/2 of a person could fit in there at a time and I am not a large person. I could only raise my arms to shampoo my hair if I turned on a diagonal. The food was terrible and served over and over. ...

My 20th cruise, and the WORST ever

This was the MOST boring cruise of my life. That would have been a minor complaint had Norwegian not completely dropped the ball on every single aspect of the cruise. Our dinner at the Steakhouse was average at best. The steaks were mediocre. We had to send 2 back that were way overcooked. The Chinese restaurant was the worst I ever had. I am not kidding. The worst ever. The takeout ...

Absolutely every time I go on NCL I notice more and more staffing cuts which are severely affecting the overall quality of cruising taking it down to an all time low. No service on the pool deck for drinks (have to stand in line at the bar), no service in the martini/champagne lounge/bar (have to stand in line at the bar), no assistance from any staff in the buffet. NCL has become like a ...

YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP

We choose this cruise because we wanted to see the fall colors and this seemed like a good way to do it. WRONG, of the four ports to visit, Bar Harbor was cancelled due to fog. We later learned it was because the tenders to take us ashore did not have radar. The fog was only 1/2 mile deep from the shore, so if radar was available on the tenders we would have been able to go ashore and get ...

Never Again

We chose this cruise because my friend uses a wheelchair and assumed, after many calls, that the answers she received would be accurate. They were not, so much was not accessible to her. Our handicapped accessible shower was clogged and completely flooded the bathroom twice, after the plumber had been there. They have barely any accessible excursions when nearly half the guests were in ...

NCL has always been good to us. No exceptions this time around. We expected the same great experience and got it. We had an inside cabin, small but cozy. Had a great time enjoying all the venues. Did the Hop-On, Hop-Off excursions in most of the ports booked while we were onboard. Weather was perfect, ship's crew responsive. Enjoyed all the food and of course, ate too much. Embarkation ...

What is happening to NCL?

I received a phone call from NCL 3 days before the ship sailed offering me a cabin for a very good price especially because I sail alone and most times must pay for 2 people. The cabin was very comfortable for one person so I was happy. It was small for 2 people and if you are a little heavy you might have a lot of trouble in the bathroom. I also have to tell you that the food aboard this ...

Average Service, Bad Internet Connection, and No Responsibility by NCL

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Gem

Internet connection for the length of cruise is a scam. It is slower than dial-up. Its down most of the time. It can be used only for emails and text via IP. NCL will not take any responsibility because they have contracted it to somebody else. NCL has made sure to not put any description under the service option which you generally expect from an Internet connection provider! Dining rooms were ...

I have been cruising with NCL since 1995 and after this cruise I WILL NOT SAIL AGAIN...we decided to book a Haven thinking the service and atmosphere woukd be so much different.. It was not!! There was much discrimination going on as I have 2 children with special needs, they got into the pool which is anyone was in the Haven knows it is teeny tiny..and it is only 3 ft! Some older lady was sitting ...
