The Good, The Bad, and .....

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Prima

For perspective, over the past 20+ years, my wife and I have now been on 13 NCL cruises, each of 11-30 days length; we have also been on 17 Celebrity/RCCL cruises, also of the same duration. We were very much looking forward to our first cruise on the Prima because it is relatively new, and for the several positive reviews of its cabins, and of the Indulge Food Court experience, among others. In ...

NCL is definitely shifting the business model.. this ship was league's below in quality of spaces and services over previous NCL experiences (bliss, breakaway, spirit etc). Generally, the uplifts are extreme now.. general "complimentary" dining is much smaller and somewhat lowered quality. Perhaps 1/3 of ship is dedicated to Haven now and they visibly are dumbing down the included options in ...

Great Ship but very Bad experience

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Prima

The ship is new, beautiful, greatly designed and built. The bad is that NCL did offer incredible low prices in the last 3 or 4 weeks, after we had booked and overfilled the ship. It was very unconfortable not been able to get a seat at any bar, the shows, rock place, etc. I have cruised for more than 160 days with NCL, but my previous trips were before Covid 19, I am dissapointed with many things ...

We chose this cruise because of its duration and destinations. Be aware, if you book air (bogo) through NCL and your cruise price drops, you will not get any redress for this issue, you must book your air independently. Most cruisers on this cruise received a $500 cruise credit because prices dropped. We were booked on a red eye both ways, dropped at airport 7 hrs before flight, unable to even ...

It has been just over a year since our cruise on the Prima and our first ever on Norwegian, at the end of February 2023. I have now fully processed our experience and can give an honest review, instead of an emotional one. Let me preface my evaluation by again reminding myself, and anyone reading, that we are beyond fortunate to even have the ability to sail to beautiful locations and our ...

Cabin #9172 Balcony Sailed seven other Norwegian ships the Joy was my favorite until now. Pros: Embarkation was quick no wait. Ship colors and décor reminds you of an upscale hotel . Cabin spacious for a balcony bathroom also very well laid out. Balcony chairs can lay flat nice. 8th floor broadwalk best concept and many places to sit in different arrangements nice. Buffet good never felt ...

New NCL Prima ship looked pretty but it needs work on a few details.

Why did we choose NCL Prima? Because it is new and highly promoted as the greatest ship ever. It is very pretty, and the service was good, but there are a few details that need to be fixed. Worst was our cabin just below the pool deck where a very loud live band played some nights into the wee hours. Never again. Cabin itself was very good, although the safe was too small, as it is on all ...

We cruised on the inaugural US voyage of NCL’s newest and first-in-class Norwegian Prima. This 5-day short break from New York features a port call in the Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda. The Prima began construction on December 9, 2019. She is NCL’s first next-generation ship built at the Fincantieri shipyard near Venice, Italy. NCL took delivery of the Prima on July 29, 2022, and she was ...
