Third Time on Breakaway… again a Great experience!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Went on my first transatlantic cruise last year on Island Princess. Loved the stops, hated the ship, and it’s pretty much non-existent entertainment. Knowing that NCL doesn’t skimp on entertainment, decided to give it a try. Happy to report, Breakaway did not disappoint! So much to do on this ship! The musical Six, Burn the Floor, Multi-Instrumentalist, OceanFest, Vocalist, Magician in the main ...

Great transatlantic cruise

We chose this cruise because of the convenience of embarking from NYC, visiting fantastic European ports and being well within our budget. Crossing the Atlantic was not as rough as we expected because when we crossed in 2015, we had to hold the railings as we walked. Probably because we wore those patches for dizziness no one got seasick in my group. The entertainment on the NCL Breakaway was ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Most of my review compares our Royal Caribbean cruise in June on Oasis of the Seas with this trip. Overall, NCL did not have to deal with any covid restrictions while RC did for our last trip. The Oasis is bigger than the Breakaway. While less grand, the Breakaway was far more manageable for me to find things and get around. Embark was great. Easy. Our App didn’t work in advance but they ...

What a fun ship and trip. We took our sister and husband on first cruise. Check-in to NYC was a breeze. Leaving the port on-time and seeing Lady Liberty was great. Weather cancelled Rhode island but every other port we arrived and left on-time. Meals were great, desserts even better. Didn't have a drink package, but tipped the Bar21 bartenders early and was never without a drink, water or ...

NCL Stepped up their game in the kitchens!

We chose this cruise because it was one the first 14 day cruises available post CDC clearance and because of NCL's policy of 100% vaccinations for passengers and crew. We've had four cancellations in the past two years and were anxious to get back on the water. Several topics to note: 1. The Covid testing procedures at the terminal were an inconvenience but pretty efficient and well worth ...

So nice to be cruising again!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We had cruise credit from a cancelled 2020 Caribbean cruise and decided to use it on this Bermuda cruise. We arrived in NY the day before and stayed at the nearby Midtown Comfort Inn and walked the one block to the port in the morning. I struggle with motion sickness, especially on the Pacific, and figured with this cruise I was guaranteed 2 1/2 days of land. A few of the Bermuda cruises in the ...

My husband and I love to cruise, we are loyal to NCL and we booked this last minute cruise to Bermuda on the Breakaway for our 35th wedding anniversary. We upgraded to the Penthouse Suite in the Haven; it was our very first Haven experience and it was spectacular! We cannot say a single bad thing about this cruise other than it wasn't long enough! We enjoyed every single minute of it but we ...

I decided to write this review during some downtime on the last day of our 7-day cruise to Bermuda, so that I wouldn't forget to do it upon returning home tomorrow. :) What a wonderful experience this first cruise post-COVID has been!! NCL really had everything covered to ensure a safe trip, with minimal difficulty at the terminal in NYC. The worst part was pre-trip, as we tried to interpret the ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Cruising is back (who-hoo!) and no one should have any hesitation about booking a cruise on the Breakaway. My wife and I (both of us avid cruisers) were on the October 3rd sailing to Bermuda. It looks like NCL solved the boarding logistics issues they had with their prior cruise. Average time from arrival at the pier at 10:07 to boarding the ship, including COVID testing, was 1 hour 40 minutes - ...

A fantastic return to NCL - NCL Breakaway.

It was exciting news when NCL announced a return to New York with weekly trips to Bermuda. They mentioned limited capacity, COVID vaccinated crews and passengers, and COVID testing prior to boarding. I was confident of their safe approach regarding COVID, and I could not be more impressed with the process and my cruise experience. The process of booking the cabin the NCL site was business ...
