This is a new ship and it is beautiful and the price was right. Getting on the ship was pretty fast if you don't stop to take a cruise pic. First impression of inside of ship was wow very nice. We went to buffet for lunch it was just ok noting special like Carnival or RCCL lines what I'm use to. Made it to cabin stated where's the 3rd closet and extra storage space. This cruise was a 13 day repositioning cruise to the Caribbean, from NYC to Miami & not the five day Canada cruise, as stated! We chose this cruise because it left from our home port of NYC, eliminating on air fare, plus the cost was low, i.e. $499. per person for an ocean view room!

It could have been so good, but the embarkation was the worse I have ever had to endure. Easy for me as I was not as old as some of the travellers who were made to stand for over 4 hours in the port whilst they embarked. No information, no water, shame on you MSC.

We just returned from the October 8 trip on the Meraviglia to Canada from New York. We were in the Yacht Club so I am comparing this to other luxury cruises I have been on such as Silversea or Crystal.

We chose because of price and destination. Too many passengers for the staff who did their best to keep up. Rarely was I asked if I wanted coffee after lunch or dinner. Three times no creamer, waiter brought a glass or cup of cream and poured it into my warm coffee. My usual go-to alternative at dinner is salmon. It was small and overcooked.
