This cruise was the most wonderful experience! I loved every minute of it. From the luxurious linen in our gorgeous suite to the five star meals we enjoyed, the world class entertainment and interesting lectures this was an experience to treasure. The Oceania Insignia is well refurbished - tasteful and easy to get around on. She came back across the Atlantic through a tropical storm and our group of 8 people all felt safe. Decided to try this line after many cruises on Norwegian and others. Stayed in a concierge veranda room on deck 7. The accommodations were so tight as to be uncomfortable. I am 5ft4 and 132 pounds and could barely shower in that tiny stall. Chosen for its itinerary but the regent excursions were disappointing. Most were your buses with local people. Some really boring stuff and very touristy spots. Given this is east coast of canada I was astonished that there was nothing that showcased the stunning beauty of this coastline. No opportunity to see wildlife or see seabirds or whales. By way of background, we are mid-60s with 35 cruises in 10.5 years. Celebrity is our benchmark. We had seen so many Vlogs about a Transatlantic voyage on the QM2 that, when a significant saving opportunity came up, we jumped on it.
