We are a family of 4 from Ontario, with 2 boys ages 4 and 10. In tow we picked up my Inlaws from Quebec in our minivan and drove down I-87 the day before. Stayed in Nanuet-Hampton Inn-about 40 minutes from NY pier. Hotel is brand new, but a little tricky to get in from the busy road. Had 2 snorkel vest delivered there and was waiting for me on arrival. Left for the pier at 10am- crossed the GW ...

Noordam - March 8 - 19 review Embarkation: Everything went very smooth. We arrived at the pier earlier than we expected (about 10 a.m.) and dropped the luggage at the front of the terminal. The others went to get our "spot" while I parked the van. After the canine inspection I was into the lot. I took the escalator down to the terminal level and the others were waiting with a "Number 3" in hand. ...

Let me start by saying this was my first cruise. My girlfriend came with me and she has cruised on every line out here and cruised about 15 times. My expectations are what she had described to me from the performance of Royal Caribbean and Carnival. AT THE PORT IN NEW YORK Everything went smoothly until we got to the check in desk. I had pre printed my boarding pass about 1 week ahead of time ...

This was our 17th cruise and our second on HAL. We did the 10-night on Noordam last December. Most of our previous cruises were on RCCL and Celebrity. Embarkation: Once we made it through the impossible traffic approaching the Lincoln Tunnel and driving cross town to 12 Ave., getting to the pier was easy. We dropped off the luggage and my wife went to park the car. Last year the parking was on ...

DW and I are in our 50's and this was our second cruise. Our last cruise was on the Ryndam in the mid 90's. This was our first cruise on the new Vista class ships and I was looking forward to being on this particular cruise because of my previous excellent experience with HAL. We wanted the extra sea days to enjoy the ship and the ports or call. I wasn't disappointed as this trip was fantastic. ...

This was the ninth cruise my wife and I have taken but our first on Holland America. We left from New Haven, CT on the bus transfer that the cruise line provided to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. We found this to be convenient and and more enjoyable than driving the 1-1/2 hours into New York. The bus brought us directly to the cruise terminal where we encountered what had to be the most orderly ...

We sailed on the beautiful Noordam 10/20/07 out of NY, 11 days to the southern Caribbean. It was just my SO and myself. Embarkation for us was a breeze, probably because we arrived at the pier somewhat late. We arrived at about 2:55PM, parking at the pier, and were in our cabin at 3:40. This was our first cruise with HAL, having sailed previously with Carnival & Celebrity and I think HAL has a ...

Embarkation - We arrived quite late, but registration was very smooth, something we heartily appreciated as my wife and I were traveling with our 4 young children. Unfortunately, some of our suitcases were covered in mud when they arrived at the cabin. Public Rooms - Plenty on board, and generally tastefully decorated. The public swimming area has a retractable roof, which comes in handy the ...
