COVID-19 has disrupted all cruises and cruise lines, even those that are COVID-19 free. Cunard’s QM2 is no exception. We missed ports. The voyage was cancelled very early in Fremantle, Australia. If this had been our first cruise it probably would have been our last. Finding the larger ships quite overcrowded we decided to try one of the smaller ones, Dawn, to see if we liked it any better. I have done Breakaway, Escape and now Dawn with the same NY to Bermuda itinerary. Both my Escape cruise and Dawn were at full capacity which lets me make a better comparison.

Caribbean Princess seemed like a well-run and well-kept ship. Even with our itinerary change due to Hurricane Dorian, things went smoothly and efficiently. The lackluster food was my only real issue, but even then, there were plenty of decent options.

Went from NY to Bermuda and back aboard the Dawn. Embarkation they had many issues and we waited at the terminal for over 4hours. Disembarkation was a breeze. Our mini-suite was perfect. The balcony was just right for a evening nightcap and watching arrivals and departures. We were on deck 11, only 3 staterooms from the Spa! Such fun! A dip before we went on an excursion, then a dip after with a sauna and maybe a massage to relax before evening activities. Plenty of things to do, sometimes to many, but we had fun.
