Excellent for solo travelers

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

I chose this cruise because it was in my budget despite its very elegant look. I would sail on her again. The shows were excellent. I only went to the main theater shows and they were always sold out. If your sailing solo they have daily solo gatherings in the pub at 5pm and one day they also have a hosted meet and greet for solo travelers. The food in the mdr was very good and they will ...

New York Boarding was a breeze .the shows were excellent . The meet and mingle was a highlight to meet and greet cruise critics fans. Outstanding! Staff in all areas were very friendly and helpers with our internet.ship was different than our usual cruises. Enjoyed our new cabin after we had to change due to problems in our original cabin. The price leaving NYC 13 day cruise was great we even got a balcony , the balcony was tight for luggage space, ,embarking from NY was smooth , disembarking was havoc , The main dining food was not that good ,they push specialities dinning ,thecrew was inexperienced and very new to working on a ship, but very eager to please, and we took care of our waiter, assistant waiter and steward with cash ...

Due to the fact that it was a two week cruise down to my preferred destination, southern Caribbean, and that it left from New York (bused to Manhattan from Montreal/flew back from Miami) which meant I would sail by the statue of Liberty, as well as it was totted to be an interesting ship and my introduction to MSC line. Could not resist. Ship was good sized, slightly unique (French builder), easy ...

After 36 cruises (on different cruise lines), we found a team at the Edge Bar that went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. They were always courteous, hardworking and very professional. They were Neptin Alie, Gregory Jean, Mariel Magallano, Angela May Lamog, Max Magotsi and Yange Ndayi. They took care of us for 23 days. The atmosphere with them around was always pleasant and ...

DH saw TV commercial and was intrigued. I booked this sailing in early 2018 for the yacht club deluxe suite at an unbelievably great price. The Ship is beautiful and the crew is fabulous, not just in yacht club but everywhere on the ship. Our cabin was spacious and very clean. I know food is subjective but I mainly chose seafood entrees which were better than meat which DH frequently chose. ...

We were waiting for MSC to cruise out of NYC. We were sick of RCCL Anthem of the Seas, and don't cruise on Carnival or Norwegian. Embarkation was quick. The staterooms were ready fairly early and our luggage arrived to the room fairly early as well. We had a balcony on Deck 10. It was one of the smallest balconies we have ever had on a cruise, but since we were going to Canada, we didn't use ...

My mother and I chose mergalvia because it was a new sailing to Canada and the New England States. We had never sailed with those ports before. She had a casino offer 30% off the rate plus 5% loyalty since we had cruised with them before. About one month ahead of time I had upgrade offers for a balcony or an interior yacht club. I decided to take my chances and bid low on the yacht club ...

Better after onboard

The new ship and the ports are the two points that had us booking The confusion to get onboard was discouraging, but after that, it was great Perhaps it was because it was the first sailing out of NY. Perhaps it was the crowd. Perhaps it was poor organization. There was no priority boarding when we arrived. We were in line over 3 hours. Fortunately , I was able to keep friends informed and ...

This review will also be posted on the MSC Chat Boards also so you can respond. I am trying to figure out what I thought was sooo different about this MSC cruise than my other cruises on “American” lines [RCL, Carnival, Celebrity, NCL, etc…] Very little! NOTE: [I am standing on my “soap box” right now] “When reading reviews here on CruiseCritic by people saying how horrible everything ...
