This was the WORST cruise we have ever been on and we were not alone. It got off to a bad start when we all had to stand in lines to get on the ship for FOUR HOURS. People were actually passing out. We picked this cruise for the itinerary to Canada. We got to the Manhattan pier at noon and did not get on the ship until 3:30 PM! What a mess trying to board! We chose because of price and destination. Too many passengers for the staff who did their best to keep up. Rarely was I asked if I wanted coffee after lunch or dinner. Three times no creamer, waiter brought a glass or cup of cream and poured it into my warm coffee. My usual go-to alternative at dinner is salmon. It was small and overcooked. The cruise started with a horrible embarkation. I never received the wheelchair that I had reserved for embarkation and spent over 2 hours standing in line which is very painful for me. It was horrible from the beginning. MSC was NOT prepared to deal with NY. They did not make the right arrangements with the longshoremen and the Stevedore unions and got it stuck up where the sun doesn’t shine. No excuse they need to prepare. 3 to 4 hour waits to check in. We chose this cruise because a friend wanted to try MSC. It was also going to be a birthday cruise for me. The disaster began on day one when the boarding process took over 4 hours!
