We booked the world cruise for 116 nights but are home now after the horror show put up by this cruise company. We decided to come back in 80days because, the ship kept on running out of food. No choice for vegetarians except for salad (which is good for cows not human being). Ran out of fruit juices. Cancelled 10ports. Food if ever it was available it was inedible as it was under cooked. ...

A big disappointment

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

I hate to do this because I have had several great experiences with NCL but this cruise was HORRIBLE and a huge disappointment. Our itinerary change was announced after we set sail despite rumors and reports it was going to be changed before sailing. No fault of their own since they can’t control the weather, so I don’t have a complaint about that. They made good on offering a 20% discount ...

The worst Crusie experience ever

This was my first experience with a cruise and it definitely made me feel that I should never do it again. Everything On this ship is a pay wall and definitely not worth it for the quality of what you get…even In The crappiest hotels , I could watch tv and use Wi-Fi without having to buy a damn package as if the cost of the cruise wasn’t expensive enough. The food was horrible , the activities ...

Main dining room food terrible, long waits. Specially dining, food and staff very good. Have to beg for ice for the room , even after tipping Stewart when we came on board, They use to just put ice in your room at night. The Weather conditions changed our itinerary, not their fault. But I tried to cancel an excursion, I found out the Cavens had over 100 steps, since I bought the tickets awhile ...

NEVER AGAIN - A SCAM

Our cruise departure from NYC was delayed by 2 hours due to the previous cruise experiencing “bad weather.” We were scheduled to be in Bermuda Tuesday-Friday morning. On Monday we were told we would not be in Bermuda until Wednesday due to the rough seas and we recieved a lousy $100obc per cabin. Seas were rough going down, 85mph winds and 45ft seas. On Wednesday morning when we docked, we ...

Great Week Aboard the Getaway!

I booked this cruise as a last minute getaway as a solo traveler - I was quite nervous about the ship after reading the reviews, but decided to take the risk and I'm so glad I did! Y'all are a bunch of complainers! I've cruised with Royal, Holland and Celebrity and I'd put NCL right up there with all of them. Ship - Many reviews mention the age of the ship showing, but I didn't find this to be ...

This cruise is my 23rd cruise (not all with NCL), it is my first post pandemic cruise with NCL. Our cruise to Bermuda was a much needed vacation. Booked an Aft Balcony (no regrets there). Embarkation: Received an email the night before not to arrive at my 9:30 am scheduled check in time :( but rather between 3pm and 6pm. This was upsetting as I always consider my cruise to have started the ...

Good, useful information I could’ve used before…

Just letting anyone going on the getaway know we got to visit bermuda 1.5 days and spent the rest on the ship. We hit the worst weather going down- people vomiting everywhere- all over the ship- 28 foot swells and 75 mph winds. That mammoth ship was jumping out of the water- only to leave bermuda early and crawl home… less than 10 knots per hr and arriving in nyc early. The time didn’t add up. ...

First I want to acknowledge there were aspects of this trip that were out of NCLs control- very rough seas, day late to Bermuda, incoming cruise was delayed. That’s where it stops. This cruise was RAMMED. An absolute mess. I do not understand how this boat is allowed to have this capacity. The first day was miserable, hours waiting for the rooms to be ready, my luggage was lost, the bed was ...

Getaway is Just a Smoky Casino

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

This is a terrible ship if you are at all sensitive or averse to cigarette smoke. The casino is the center point of the ship and you have to pass it if you want to eat or shop etc. It’s just a floating casino don’t be fooled. I had to stay in my stateroom a lot to avoid the smoke. The theater and library/game room are tiny for the amount of passengers. Not much w/o an extra fee for ...
