I cruise a lot on ocean liners, but had never been on a river cruise before. This was the worst trip I've ever been on. Staff completely inattentive, food mediocre and the wait times/lines unacceptable (to me). The cabins were much smaller than indicated. This was the first repositioning cruise for the Octantis and it was the first cruise ship to traverse the St. Lawrence Seaway is several years (due to Covid restrictions). The ship is a gem, hints of its bigger ocean Viking ships but also many different aspects. We book and paid for an expedition cruise and received less than a repositioning cruise. We book the cruise over 2 years ago at which time Viking advised that most of the tours were included in our fare.
