First time cruiser, good times!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Magic

Our very first time on a cruise. We were family of 6, adjoining rooms with daughter, son in law , 4 yr old and 6 yr old. Rooms were immaculate and the veranda views were beautiful. Disney app made scheduling character sessions, shows, activities and messaging between family members easy and convenient. Food at cabanas was very good and varied. Shows were fantastic and magical for both the ...

Save your money Crew and ship Appearance was very good. Pool deck Breakfast and lunch on the back of the boat. Lousy pizza and ice cream cones on pool deck midship. The restaurants were nice. Free text though disney app was excellent to communicate to other family members on the boat, castaway Cay, and Magic Kingdom. BUT... SHIP WAS ROCKING SIDE TO SIDE all the time. MANY were very motion ...

10 Things You Need to Know - The Magic is Gone

Here are 10 Quick Things You need to know 1. This ship is over 20 years old and it shows. From rusty spots on the balconies to musty smells in the rooms, this ship is definitely showing it's age. 2. The dinner food is mediocre. It's served lukewarm because they're serving hundreds of people at once so chances are your food was waiting to be delivered to your table while they got all the ...

First Disney Cruise, 3rd cruise overall, first time Concierge service, ship was in great shape since it's the 1st one to sail. Will be very hard if we sail again not to get Concierge service. Our Concierge team of Alina, Emannela and Nicky were fantastic, there for every need. Our Serving team of Hilash Harinath, Cornel Besoi and Dumitru Cabut were all great and finally our stateroom host Flore ...

You can't out-Disney Disney, but you can cruise better

We chose a Disney cruise because we've never done one (Disney) and there were some sailings out of NYC which saves us a flight. To review a Disney cruise, I have to break it into two pieces: a) Disney and b) Cruise. For the Disney part, it was potential 24/7 Disney immersion. If you love Disney, this will press all the buttons. Ongoing character meet-and-greet, Marvel day-at-sea, a day at ...

Disney Magic -NYC to Castaway Cay and WDW

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

We chose this cruise because: 1) It's Disney! and 2) the convenience of sailing from the NYC area. DCL does not disappoint when it comes to entertainment, friendliness, and making you feel welcome. The shows and Marvel characters were fantastic. There were four sea days on this trip and we did not run out of things to do. Castaway Cay was excellent, but time for a change to the lunch menu on the ...

Lots of fun but aging, poorly configured ship, dangerous disembarkation process

This was our third Disney cruise, the second time on the Magic. The Magic and the Wonder are sister ships, nearly 20 years old. The Fantasy and the Dream are larger, more modern in every way, and only 5 years old. After cruising on the newer Fantasy, and now back again on the older Magic, the positive factors of the newer Fantasy/Dream just scream at me - the whole time this cruise on the older ...

No Magic for disabled adults exiting the ship!!

We chose this cruise because we had heard so many good things about this cruise. We were 3 cousins traveling with a disabled adult in a scooter. Exiting the boat was a nightmare for a disabled adult. Everyone was lined up on the third floor cattle car style ready to leave. After several phone calls to guest relations we were told that his rental scooter was to be left in his room and ...

A must do for Disney fanatics... Definitely appropriate for children

Disney does an excellent job of entertainment. Disney shows were Broadway quality in both talent and production. Ship seemed a little too crowded for outdoor shows, and for family pool areas. Definitely liked the rotating dining (you dine in three different dining facilities during the week, with different chefs, but same servers). Will do again as a large family event. Will probably not ...

Great Cruise for Families

Family oriented, great service and excellent entertainment. No need to spend any money, attention to detail and comfort in every aspect of the cruise gives you the ability to enjoy the cruise and kids had a blast! Entertainment was well beyond our expectations for a ship's and there was always something to do for both kids and adults. Disney has a lot of resources and their staff are very ...
