Great cruise on the QV from New York to San Francisco. PROS: - Fast embarkation in New York, since times were staggered and many had boarded in Southampton - Very comfortable, quiet, well furnished cabin with king bed, love seat and 3 closets on Deck 4. Had outside obstructed view cabin. View was only partially blocked by a lifeboat, and was definitely worth the small extra amount of ...

Tales of Table 18 or Well-Nigh a Paradise EMBARKATION: DW ("Dear Wife") and I embarked, on the frigid afternoon of January 12, on the New York to San Francisco segment of the Queen Victoria's 2010 World Cruise. As we live but a few blocks from her Manhattan berth, our transit consisted merely of a five minute taxi ride, a momentary wait in the "V.I.P" lounge and then straight aboard in time ...

Having had several days to digest our experience we thought it time to share the impressions we formed on our recent New York to Los Angeles voyage on the Queen Victoria. In order to provide some insight into our perspective I'll share our background. I'm 45 and my wife is 39. Prior to this trip we have done six TA's on the QM2 (four in Britannia and two in Queen's Grill) as well as the Dubai to ...
