I have cruised quite often, to the Caribbean many times, to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexican Riviera...on RCI, HAL, Princess, Carnival (once) and Celebrity. I cruised on NCL three times before: Hawaii, Alaska, and Bermuda. Only Bermuda was a freestyle ship. I do not post often to these boards but read a lot here. I believe I am an experienced cruiser.

I've been thinking about writing this review from the first time I saw the boat. It's so beautiful. Inside and out.

-You actually park on the pier right next to the boat. NOT across the street like I read in some of the reviews. It is $40/day to park.

Well... I have my verdict. The Breakaway is an amazing ship! I was way more impressed with it than I thought I'd be. There is so much to do on this ship and the décor and themes throughout the ship are beautiful.

This was my 2nd time on the Norwegian Breakaway. My first cruise was a 7 day cruise.

After reading a number of negative reviews we decided to roll the dice and get a sense of the ship with a weekend cruise to nowhere. A number of the complaints are perfectly valid, some a bit overblown, others somewhat questionable. We had a lot of fun and will likely sail on Breakaway again but this ship isn't for everyone.

Hi my DH K and I had a great cruise on the Breakaway 11/30.
Some background. K has Parkison and I have had 4 back surgeries in the last 1 1/2 yrs, so walking can be a problem. Yes we stayed in the Haven and it was just what the doctor ordered. It ws peaceful, beautiful and overall a great place to stay. the kids were great and fun.
