Carnival Miracle (Good & Bad)

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Miracle

My group was al excited by this latest cruise. We also got such a bargain for the 8 day cruise on the Carnival Miracle from NYC! We stayed in a balcony room. As always when 1st boarding, the dining buffet area is where you get sent and it is always crowded. My problem though with the dining on this ship is that there is only ONE dining room, One Buffet and ONE restaurant. The dining room looks ...

We went on the Miracle from Jan. 25 through Feb. 2, 2013. It was relatively inexpensive and left from NY where we live. We just took the LIRR to Penn Station and got a cab to take us to the pier. We arrived at 11:15am so we were given a number, checked in and waited until after 1 pm when they finally called the numbers, one at a time, to embark. We had to go to the buffet because the main dining ...

Not a fan of lengthy "play-by-play" reviews, so read on to enjoy the facts, our opinions & thoughts on our recent Bahamas Cruise on-board the Carnival Miracle! I will give ratings on some of the major categories we consider when cruising ... those which can hopefully be compared across ships and cruiselines. Each & every review will be different, but since we have now been on 3 of the "major" ...

Not a good cruise all around

I just got back from the cruise yesterday and checked cruise critic to see if any of my fellow passengers did a review. I saw two reviews that were both mostly-positive. I was surprised. Embarking/Debarking - no complaints here. Considering it was New York and 3000 people were trying to board a ship at the same time, it went smoothly and the staff was very friendly. We had a fairly nice ...

Background - I have been on three cruises on the Norwegian Dawn, so, this is my only point of reference. This was my first cruise on Carnival and my first cruise with my kids. Our ages - 5, 8, 9, 23, 33, 35, and 68. Overall- No major complaints. Let's call a spade a spade - its 8 days on a cruise. We had fun because we were on vacation. You eat. You sleep. You hang out. Getting on the ship ...

Ultimate Family Cruise-- 17 people deep!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Miracle

Getting 17 family members all on the same page to take an 8 day trip was truly challenging and my goodness so well worth it! Our family truly enjoys each other's company and we wanted to do something extra special as my wife's grandmother, who is blessed to be 91, is as fun and energetic as some 40 year old's! Our trip had a wide range of ages 91 to 14! Of course the one non grown-up was our ...

A Miraculous Disappointment

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Miracle

Okay, so maybe the disappointment wasn't "miraculous" but it was disappointing. I've been on 2 previous Carnival cruises, and this is our first "Grand Suite" (though we did a smaller suite on another ship). That was our first disappointment. We paid a lot for the upgrade and the room was not in good shape. The carpet was very worn and had many stains. Even the couch had stains on it. I think ...

Second to worse cruise ever

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Miracle

We booked this cruise as a between holiday vacation. We have cruised with Carnival before and had wonderful experiences. This was by far almost the worst cruise we have taken. The food and service in the dining room was not up to par with our past cruises. We sent many items back many nights because food was either over cooked, under cooked or cold. Some of the items on menu did not ...

Firstxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx First of all a big "thank you" to the folks at Carnival for getting our cruise out of New York with Hurricane Sandy hot-on-our-heels. A terrific waitstaff, clean rooms, and adequate food (for the money) were all appreciated, the folks on this cruise worked very hard indeed to make us all as comfortable as possible. WARNING: If you're looking to kill a week or so on ...

Somewhat Disappointed Overall

We just missed hurricane Sandy by one week and got caught up in hurricane Raphael's high winds and rain for 2 days. 20 foot waves and a lot of people were sick. I will not book ever again during peak hurricane season. We all saw what happened the week after to Staten Island and Manhattan. That was a close call for us! We spend too much money to take such a chance again. The ship was not ...
