New York (Manhattan) to the Eastern Caribbean Carnival Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

And my 1st 5-star rating in all my years of cruising goes to... this ship! Congratulations, Carnival! Boarding time didn't start until around 11AM, but once we were on board, we were amazed by how uniquely beautiful this iconic Costa ship was. Even though the classic Costa tail remained, much of the decorations were inspired by Italy, especially in the main atrium area and Canal Grande ...

Good value for the money.

Overall a good value for the money as it was an easy drive into the city. The ship was clean and maintained well inside and out. We enjoyed sitting outside on deck five in the various areas. On sea days there was a lack of quiet places to relax and chat. I really enjoyed the staff at the Amari Bar…Shout out to Vlad, Jennifer and Jefferson for being artists of mixology! Food was good, not ...

Although the Carnival Venezia is a ship with good accommodations, great crew, and an excellent kids club, it overall remains subpar with its buffet food choices and ship layout. Let’s start with the bad: Ship Layout: The ship is laid out a bit strange, and not necessarily by where things are located, but rather the flow of moving from one place to another. For example, Deck 3 goes through the ...

My family (me, husband, 2 kids ages 6 and 12) recently went on the Carnival Venezia. It was the first cruise ever for my husband and kids, and my first cruise since I was a teenager, so I don’t have much to compare it to! That being said, we all had a great experience. The whole ship was beautifully decorated, and everything appeared to be very well-maintained. The staff were truly top notch; ...

I was traveling with my wife and two boys, 10 and 12. We picked this cruise for the itinerary and the water slides. The waterslides are not good. My boys would get stuck towards the end. After riding a couple of times, they were done. There were two VERY small pools and 2 hot tubs. Keep in mind, this ship can hold 4k cruisers and 1300 crew. So, the pools were ridiculously overcrowded. ...

Ten years ago, we went on Carnival Pride and I swore never again. We said, let's give them another try. Our stateroom attendant was excellent. Our first two mdr waiters were awful No personality, food served warm, once they never asked if we wanted drinks, one of the tables had a great View of the station where they scraped the finished plates... We finally found a table where ...

This was our 7th cruise with Carnival. First time cruising out of New York. Also our first time visiting New York. We stayed 2 nights prior to the cruise, at the Comfort Inn Midtown. The hotel is only about 1-1/2 blocks from the port so it was very easy walking to the ship on embarkation day. The cruise port is not as big as the ports in Florida so it was a bit more crowded, but overall, ...

We decided on this cruise as it was out of NYC and we didn't need to fly. We weren't on Carnival for a long time but we knew it was a party crowd. The Good The ship is beautiful and easy to get around. There are many free food options. Guy's burgers were the best we have had on cruises. The deli sandwiches were excellent plus Mexican taco bar. Dining Room Food It was generally ...

I got sick about a week into my ten day trip. I called the medical clinic to report that I had a cough and fever and exhaustion. The person who answered told me that they didn’t need to know that, but I could come down for medical care if I wanted. Surprising, given how concerned other cruise lines are when someone is sick. Anyway, I didn’t want medical care—I just wanted to lie in bed and die. ...

My wife and I and my parents just returned from a 10-day Cruise on Carnival Venezia, leaving from NYC to the Caribbean. The cruise ship docks at Manhattan Cruise Terminal. We live in upstate NY, about 6 hours away. With 4 people, it’s cheaper to drive than fly. We booked 2 rooms in Fairfield Inn North Bergen. They had a Cruise Package that would let us park the car at the hotel for 10 days ...
