We were 6 friends waiting at Port and wondering why so long when it was announced we were changinging our iternary to Bermuda from Canada and away from the Hurricane. This is my 15th cruise having sailed with Carnival, Holland, Cunard and Nowegian. The FOOD was HORRIBLE in the main dining room for Every Meal. It is the same food as is being served at the Buffet. We really enjoyed the Splendor and Bermuda from NYC. We found the Splendor to be very enjoyable. The ship was very clean and balcony stateroom fantastic. Although we have been on several cruises...this was our 1st balcony. Yes as previous reviewers have mentioned...the flow of the ship is a little odd but workable. Check In: Security was heightened because of the Boston Bombings but that didn't hold things up for us very much. We were at the port by 10:40, parked, dropped luggage off and were in line for check in by 11. We booked a "spa interior" cabin for a very last minute deal - a huge bargain! (You could also go across the hallway for a spa/balcony if you prefer). I would *highly* recommend it!!
