We (myself, husband and 2 yr. old) sailed on Carnival Legend from New York, we didn't have to fly, so that was in itself awesome. With a 2 yr. old flying can be interesting. We booked a suite, on the 6th floor, it was near the back of the ship, so we had a huge balcony (50% bigger) than most suites. It was enclosed with glass, so no worries about me jumping over board. We requested a crib, but it ...
My second cruise with Carnival, my spouse and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. EMBARKATION: For NY not bad, on the ship in less than 1 hour. Having lunch and drinks by 2 pm. THE SHIP: Clean, beautiful, but the urns are a little over the top. Very easy to find your way around, which is what we did after lunch. Had everything down pat in less than 1 hour. Cabin decent size. We had an ...
Overall this was a good cruise.
The food was good on the Lido deck and excellent in the dining room. Our wait staff was amazing. I mentioned I had never tried caviar before and they brought me a huge cupful of it. I didn't try the supper club. I would have liked more day to day variety on the breakfast buffets. I didn't get to try the dining room breakfasts. Room service was good, but a little ...
This was my first cruise ever. Overall, I was very happy with the staff. I did get sea sick. Wish there was a way to make cruises less shaky in terms of the movement of the boat while it is cruising. I often felt dizzy. A guest on the cruise suggested Benadryl. I thought it was for allergies, but surprisingly it worked well.
Embarkation: Very smooth. Long lines are expected when you have many ...
I guess my wife and I could be considered seasoned cruisers, this was our 17th cruise.
I do not like to give negative reviews on any cruise that we have been on; I feel any cruise is as good as you make it.
This cruise, however, is one that I think other cruisers should be warned about. We sailed out of New York on 9/9/2006 on the Carnival Legend for an 8-day Eastern Caribbean cruise.
We are ...
Wow! What an awesome vacation! First of all, we got a balcony stateroom at an inside stateroom price. Secondly, we got a $100 on board ship credit for booking directly through Carnival. Thirdly, we went out of NYC, which is two hours away from where we live in Connecticut. Finally, we got to cruise with our friends, Pete & his fiancee, Jeri. However, we did run into a couple of problems. The first ...
The first problem happened when Carnival called my house & left a message. They were going to be late getting into port, so we didn't have to arrive to the pier as early as we'd planned. That was Friday, two days before we were supposed to leave. On Sunday, the bus we took from Connecticut took three hours to get into NYC. We then had to wait for a taxi at the Port Authority, & ended up getting a ...
This was our first cruise on a Carnival ship.
We traveled with our friends and this was their first cruise, our fifth.
We arrived at the port of NY at 10:30am and we were on the ship by 12.
Our cabin 7349 was on the Verandah deck, aft. A extended balcony, the view over the wake was wonderful.
Our cabin steward, Xvair, was hardly seen but he kept our cabin clean, left ice for us and did the ...
This was our 7th cruise, 5th with Carnival & our 3rd on a Spirit Class Ship. Though we live in New York this was our 1st cruise out of New York. We were a little nervous and to help others like us I offer the following info. We took Skyline car service to the Port, cost from the Northeast Bronx was $33 with tip, compared to $ 25 per day parking. We arrived at 10:15 A.M. We were checked in and ...
Background Information
This is my fifth time cruising, fourth with Carnival. I live in the NY area and decided to make it easy this time and avoid flying to Miami. Taking the Legend was a no brainer then.
Ship Info
The ship is well kept. The dEcor is typical Carnival, love it or hate it I personally love it. I liked the ability to surf the Internet from my cabin, not sure if the service was ...
