My wife and I have been sailing since our marriage. We have been on about 20 Carnival cruises and almost all of their ships. Our honeymoon was on the Carnivale. The Dream is a beauty, but there was nothing special about this ship, except perhaps the numerous water slides. Sailing out of New York in the middle of November required no swimsuit, however out of Florida you may have your suit but ...

This was my 10th cruise (3 with RCCL and 7 with Carnival). It was my fiance and I, however, we had other friends that were on the Dream as well. This was by far the BEST CRUISE we have had! Don't get me wrong, there are a few things that need to be worked out, however, what vacation doesn't have something that can be improved. I will do my review in sections. EMBARKATION/DEBARKATION: ...

Hi, Here is my experience. I hope it helps others. We arrived at the port at 11am and by 1140 am we were on the ship. My sister needed Special Assistance so we were one of the very first on board. We did have to walk total of 15 to 20 minutes. My sister must use a cane and we all were not happy at the distance to the point of entry. It truly was far...and mind you we had to carry our own ...

Carnival Dream - A Bad Dream

Let me start by saying that we have cruised with Carnival a total of 5 times before. For this Thanksgiving cruise from NY, we had a group of 8 cabins (20 people), mostly family and some friends. We all live in Brooklyn, NY, so traveling to the pier was easy. We got 2 vans and arrived around 10:30 AM at the pier. We were pleasantly surprised at the quick and efficient check-in process and were ...

First let me start by saying that my husband and I, and the other couple we travelled with had a fantastic time. We were there to eat, drink and enjoy getting together with old friends, and we accomplished all of those things. However, the cruise itself needs a lot of work. Some background information about us as travelers. The four of us are between 26-29 years old. And both couples ...

Hello Everyone, My DH and I recently returned from a romantic get-a-way (no children) on the Dream CTN. Overall we had a great time and will definitely return with the rest of the family when it homeport's in Florida. Embarkation: The Manhattan Terminal has vastly improved since the last time we sailed from there. It now has a fresh, modern, open look and feel to it. We arrived at about 10am, ...

NOT A REAL DREAM CRUISE ON THE CARNIVAL DREAM

This was our first time on Carnival, as we always cruise on RCI. We decided to try Carnival because it was a new ship and sailing from NYC. There were four of us traveling together in two cabins. My GF and I and two female friends of ours. We are all in our late fifties to early sixties. We live in South Jersey and hired a private car to take us to the terminal. We left at 10:00am and arrived at ...

Just returned from our 7th cruise, on the Carnival Dream, the largest in the Carnival fleet, sailing out of New York. Don't expect the Dream to return to New York anytime soon, as it appears it's doing most of its sailing out of Port Canaveral. Embarkation went very well. The wife & I arrived at the docks around 2pm, and within half an hour we were on the ship, which was a pleasant surprise. ...

Dreaming on the Dream Not all Fun and Games

It was a dark and dreary day in New York City. We were very disappointed with the weather. As we arrived at the pier, we couldn't help but marvel at the size of the Dream. Could this really be our ship for the next 8 days? George and I dropped our luggage off with the porters, and then went inside to the cruise terminal. As usual, embarkation was a breeze. We were on the ship no later than 12:45 ...
