Cruising is BACK!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Gem

The start of our cruise was extremely easy. We all tested at the pier which was well organized. Only about 30 people in a group. Once your test is negative you get to check in for your cruise. Took about 1hour for everything. No more Muster drill. You have to watch a video and once on board you fine your muster station and they sign you off. Very easy. The ship was only at 730 capacity. We ...

This was the third time our Caribbean cruise was rescheduled due to two years of COVID cancelations. We arrived with negative COVID tests and took another rapid one on day of departure. We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. 5 of us were first time cruisers. The staff were incredible. Kudos to Ivan, Egy, Farrot, & Nythin to mention a few but the biggest surprise was the fantastic band Sonata. They ...

We chose this cruise because it was one the first 14 day cruises available post CDC clearance and because of NCL's policy of 100% vaccinations for passengers and crew. We've had four cancellations in the past two years and were anxious to get back on the water. Several topics to note: 1. The Covid testing procedures at the terminal were an inconvenience but pretty efficient and well worth ...

We had a great time!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

I was there to dance every night and eat healthy food. I give it 5 stars for that. I will say that the NCL Escape, its' sister ship, was a little better in that regard. It's H2O Spice was larger and it was great for dancing. Also, their Skyline Bar had a dance floor and it was less claustrophobic than the Social was on the Bliss. On the Bliss, half of the Skyline was taken up with casino ...

I’m going to start by saying the staff and crew were very friendly and accommodating and personable and very professional. We saw none of the rude unfriendly staff some of the lower star ratings stated. Yes the bliss wasn’t perfect. They do nickle and dime you but if you know that going in you can prepare for it. The food was good. The buffet was repetitive and very very crowded a lot of the time ...

NCL Gem Review 3/6/2020 through 3/16/2020 Sorry, this is a long one. I almost did not write it. I mean with so many more serious things on our minds lately. But then I thought, this cruise was exceptional and maybe people need to hear that. 4 Adults in the Garden Villa Suite 14000. Both my husband and I are platinum plus latitude members. We had booked an H3 months prior but once ...

We just got off ship on 3/8/2020.We had terrific food all week, some terrific servers including Mariano. The show Jersey boys and Beatles show were both amazing. We Plenty to do if you want and plenty of places to escape or to have a drink. 10 minutes to get off the ship at the end of the cruise in NY Really love this ship! This is my first time, in a very long time and not sailing In The Haven ...

Wonderful winter getaway

The Norwegian Gem was a wonderful ship to get away from the winter blahs in Ohio. We traveled to plenty of warm sunshiny ports with great people and great weather. The ship is small which I like. I meet numerous people and saw them several times throughout the cruise and we would talk like lifetime friends. Everyone was happy and worked their butts off to serve you and make the cruise the best ...

Wow. First time on the Gem. I was impressed by how attentive the entire staff was. From the executive officers (who were ALWAYS approachable) all the way down the line, everyone made us feel welcomed. The Cruise Director (and staff) were fun, funny and totally involved with the passengers. The stage shows were excellent. We went to Blazing Boots and Get Down Tonight, both were high energy ...

Just returned on Friday. The ship is the perfect size. We had very smooth seas. The specialty restaurants were hit or miss. First time to Cagney it was extremely crowded but service was good. Next visit we waited over an hour for entree. We cancelled our third visit. LeBistro was always good. Husband had Escargot . Said it was delicious. I favor their lamb chops. Moderno was good and salad bar ...
