Great ports, awesome ship, average food

We chose this cruise to celebrate our anniversary and to see ports we had never seen before. The ship is beautiful and offers lots to do. We did my time dining and ate at specialty restaurants for 7 nights. Jamie's Italian is fantastic. I've heard others complain about it, but we found the food to be excellent. There's more to Italian food than red sauce. Chops remains an excellent steakhouse ...

My husband and I chose this cruise for a few reasons. We were able to drive to Bayonne, NJ in just 1 hour and 15 minutes, This port was super easy to get to, and very organized once we parked in their parking garage, which was adjacent to the boarding area. We wanted to cruise longer than 7 nights, and this 12 night cruise was perfect for us. We also did not want to sail on an older ship, and ...

My husband and I both operate large businesses, my beloved 90 year old mother lives with us, we are planning two weddings this year, and we have not been on vacation for over a year. This cruise was selected by our fantabulous travel agent, Debbie Masters . She set up a two week cruise, back to back; the first week in a most beautiful suite, the second in the Royal Loft, complete with a genie. ...

We chose this cruise because of the ship and destination . The ship is beautiful. It is so amazing to be able to do bumper cars and I fly was awesome! I'm not very adventurous and I'm mid 50's and I really enjoyed these activities. We had a balcony on deck 11, which was very nice. Our room steward was great. Most of the workers were great. I'm sorry to have to say this, but Dennis the ...

We go out of N.J. every January, since Explorer was there. This was our third Anthem cruise. If you discount the dinners in the main dining room and The Gift we would have given a better rating. Food came cold, poor selection, over salted and smothered in gravy, even though we constantly asked for gravy on the side. Dessert selection was very limited. Windjammer was much better...we ended up going ...

We sailed on the Anthem when it made its initial crossing from Southampton to NJ in 2015. We chose this cruise for the number of sea days (5) and for the ease in getting to the port from North Carolina (direct flight to Newark on United). Although portions of the cruise were great, we were disappointed in others. Most enjoyed were the various daytime activities (even though they need to revise ...

My family went on Anthem of the Seas on a 12 night cruise to the Southern Caribbean in January. My husband, my two daughters and myself. Another child accused my daughter of showing her an inappropriate picture. Security stopped us as we were coming back on the ship from Barbados. They questioned my daughter and when she denied it security told her there was surveillance. I asked to see the video. ...

I can't stand the lines at the restaurants. It seems that "My Time" Dining is really "Their Time" Dining. There appeared to be a level of confusion to be seated...with people without "reservations" being seated before "My Time" people. They should use NCL's example for this. Rooms and common areas kept up very well. Our steward was attentive and always asking how everything was. In my opinion, the ...
