Great Vacation with Good Friends on a Beautiful New Ship

Review for Quantum of the Seas to Caribbean - Eastern

Embarkment was a breeze. We arrived at the port around 10:30 am. We needed to put our credit card on our account since we were unable to do it online due to a software glitch on the RCC site so after checking in with the representative we walked right on board. We had a scheduled departure time of 11:15 but just as we began walking toward the holding pen they called us. Things were off to a ...

Dynamic Dining

The ship was beatiful and had a lot going for it; however the Dynamic Dining stinks. The crew, service and food was as usual very good with a lot of choices in each restruant. Having cruised on several different ships in different classes I prefer them over the Quantum; even the Brillance which is one of the smallest was better. Our favorate is the Allure, the Explorer also is a great ship. I ...

Potential to be an excellent cruise vacation.

The Quantum of the Seas is a beautiful ship, and has some innovative experiences that we have not found on other cruise ships. However, just as we learned on other new ships, not everything will go well until the crew has established all of their processes and routines. First, 2 big cautions: The sofa bed is very small, and will be a tight fit if you are planning on having 2 people sleep on ...

We went on th oasis the previous year and loved it. This cruise stunk. Food was decent but not stellar. Many of the entres were the same even though we went t different restaurants each night. Desserts were mostly from pre-mad packages. Nothing special. Many entrees greasy and not fresh tasting. We both got the Noro-virus which I realize can happen but made the experience much worse. No ...

I cruised about 15 cruises and last 8 were RC because I LOVE activities. I was WOWED from Allure - it was fantastic, but was a little disappointed from Quantum. First of all there to many people for that size of the ship. On Allure we didn't even feel how many people were on board. 1. Ship architecture was more modern style - nothing special ..something like IKEA style 2. Technology was way ...

Loved This Ship; They Have Fixed All of the Kinks

I was excited to book this cruise but concerned by the many negative reviews that I read. Well I had no reason to be concerned. Do not pay attention to the older negative reviews. This ship is amazing and the crew was great. I'll go through some of the highlights: Staterooms: Wow, they really go this right. We booked a balcony on the 13th floor. The storage is unbelievable. They really nailed ...

Over priced and over hyped; there are much better choices.

Summary: Our 10th cruise. It's not that everything was terrible, but the overall cruising experience was poor and there are much better choices. If you want to pay $4,000 for a $2,000 cruise, then this is your ship. Take Oasis if you want a great experience. Over hyped: Virtual balcony: Pointless. It does not give one the feeling of a balcony. At dusk, the camera is so insensitive ...

new ship with lots to do. dynamic dining works if you do it pre-cruise. entertainment is top notch=broadway shows and funky cirque stuff. Joe Hollywood in the schooner lounge is the best I've ever seen and made the cruise a PARTY! could use some more pool area and cut towel chair saving. unfortunately a virus broke out and shut down things on the ship (all self serve soda machines, craps table, ...

I too, like some other people, were worried about the bad reviews that Quantum seemed to be getting on it's earlier sailings, but I can tell you they have worked out the glitches. I did have a couple of staff members tell me that early on there were a lot of issues, but these have all been rectified. Here are my points: Embarkation: could not have been easier, we did all of the work ahead of time ...

The ship is beautiful but there are problems. We did not care for dynamic dining at all. We found the service to be slow in all 4 complimentary restaurants, the food arrived barely warm, and there wasn't enough variety in the menus for a 12 day cruise. The two best meals were in Chops and Jamie's Italian. We also did not care for the breads that were served with the meals. The water glasses were ...
