It is hard to reconcile my experience with all those negative reviews I have read.
The embarkation was the best I have ever experienced. It took less than five minutes to board the ship upon my arrival. I had an inside cabin and think the virtual balcony is terrific. Background: About 60 cruises, most on Celebrity, some on Princess and Royal Caribbean. I am comparing this cruise to the 6 I've taken on Oasis-class ships.

We departed the Quantum yesterday 5/2. We had a great cabin with a balcony it was mid ship on 10. The ship's entertainment is fabulous. Mama Mia is first rate. They have been bringing groups on board that are tribute bands of Journey and Aerosmith etc. They are all excellent. They play in the Music Hall.

If all you want is a low priced vacation and you live in the Tri-State area this is a good option, but do not go out of your way to board this ship if your expectations are anything but low.
