Royal Caribbean lost its quality

We are Diamond Club status and have been on this ship 9 times. Shows have all been the same since the ship first sailed years ago. The show attendance was never to capacity The stateroom was never vacuumed in the 11 night cruise and we noticed the same dirt on the floor since we first got in the cabin. You now pay extra for I Fly and North Star which use to be free which results in ...

Third time on Anthem - and she still has the charm

We cruised with family - three couples. We loved the ship - our third time on Anthem! The good things: lots of activities and things to do on the ship: pickle ball, bumper cars, roller skating! Escape Room, i Fly, and the Northstar! The entertainment is first rate: Iconic band was extraordinary - there was not one song played that did not sound like the original artist - and they have nice ...

Disappointed

Very disappointed, why 5 watch shops, ship not pretty as other royal ships, no good shows/entertainment, paying customers very rude, I will try different cruise line next year. Staff friendly. All shops same thing. Not enough of different things to drink. People in customs even rude. Nice and organized debarking. Casino very small and if you like quick hit games then that’s the casino for you. ...

Had pros and cons

The excursions were fun and affordable. The ship's staff were friendly and seemed to work hard, however they seemed tense around the management. The tension gave a cold feeling to the cruisers. Room was nicely laid out, we had a balcony room. The room steward was wonderful. We didn't expect so many kids in January since there wasn't much for them to do, but there were many kids. The teenagers ...

INTRODUCTION: I am 76 years old and my wife is 73. She is still able to use fitness machines and walk considerable distances while I am limited in physical activities and always walk with a cane. That being said, our main enjoyment on a cruise comes from the availability of fine dining, musical and other “passive” entertainment and use of the pool facilities. We also enjoy touring places that ...

The food leaves a lot to be desired

We chose this cruise as we had been on trips last year on both Cunard and NCL and wanted to try something different. Overall, the ship was lovely, but the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The Anthem is a great ship if you want to be entertained. There is lots to do and the shows we saw were all amazing. We also did the escape room, bumber cars and i-fly activities, which you can ...

This was our first cruise in 4 years & we had a wonderful time. It was our 3rd time on Anthem of the Seas. Our 19 year old son loves all the sports fun in the Seaplex, we liked the North Star experience, the shows, service, etc. Boarding the ship was done very efficiently. We had a balcony room that was really nice. The food choices have really been cut back, especially for the gluten free ...

This is a repeat cruise having done this one 3 times. The cruise director Josh made it special and very entertaining. The shows are still good even after being I will rock you 3 times. The Mo5aic group was excellent. Our cabin steward was very attentive although we were starting to have stuffy noses at nights, from the carpets we guess. The food was the major detractor. this is our 7th cruise and ...

Love this ship, but two things need to be improved

Our friends have been on this ship twice before and suggested that we book it with them. The ship was beautiful. We especially loved the Solarium, the staff was wonderful, but as I mentioned two things need to change: Casino: It should be completely nonsmoking. There was so much smoking going on, you couldn't breathe. And the crazy part is, that the staff informed us that when this ship is in ...

This marked our 50th cruise, many of which have been with Royal Caribbean. We went with a group of 20 people, 12 of whom were country line dancers. We left from Bayonne very excited to be going to the warm Caribbean. Embarkation went pretty smoothly except we had to go looking for our luggage down the hall and found someone else's luggage outside our stateroom. This was a first for us. Our ...
