Rust Bucket!!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

This was our first cruise. Very disappointing. The ship either needs to be refurbished or cut up for scrap! Very poor maintenance. Rust everywhere. Windows dirty. Railing dried out, splintered. Window trim rotted. They were always working on one elevator. Windjammer restaurant a zoo! Limited seating. Went to the dining room. It had better food and great service. Ship store limited ...

Great Itinerary and Outstanding Shore Excursions

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

This is the longest cruise my wife and I have done, and we weren't disappointed. Yes, Adventure is an older ship and needs a refurb, but this itinerary and the ship's staff made this a vacation of a lifetime. We've been cruising since 2003 on Royal, Princess, and Celebrity, but Cartagena, Colon, and Puerto Limon were all first-time ports for us. We booked a city tour of Cartagena through Royal ...

Older traditional ship/fantastic itinerary Western Caribbean and the Americas

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We wanted this itinerary for its stops in South and Central America and that was the right thing for us to do, as we've been to the Caribbean so many time. Roatan was a highlight as was Costa Rica, but the Panama Canal is a LONG and mostly boring way to get to the Pacific Ocean. We did by Excursion and glad we did, once you have gone on a canal cruise in Europe, it's the same experience and not ...

Adventure of the Seas 10-22-22 5-Night Bermuda Cruise

DH and I are in our mid 50s. We live in Pennsylvania. We have sailed on Voyager class before but this was our first time on Adventure, and this was our second cruise as Diamond Plus members. Royal Caribbean is the only line we have sailed on. We have been to Bermuda several times before. This was a casino comped cruise which we booked in June. We combined two interior offers for an ocean ...

So disappointed!

My husband & I have been on Royal multiple times. In fact, one of our favorite cruises of all was on the Rhapsody - Greece & the Adriatic. We chose the Canada & New England cruise because of the itinerary. Unfortunately, this cruise ended up being the most disappointing cruise my husband and I have ever taken. We understood that the Adventure of the Seas is an older ship. We expected the ...

Old, dirty and bad food

This was the only cruise available for the time and itinerary for us. Getting on board was not so bad, lunch was ready before we could get into our stateroom. The room was a good size with plenty of storage area. There was a "cooler" for drinks, but we never got ice to go in it. The shower was black mold and all around the bottom, needed a good scrubbing. The balcony was the same way, ...

We had a wonderful vacation on Adventure of the Seas to Bermuda in balcony cabin 7644 that was perfect for our needs. The ship was very clean and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed deck five with its Main Street feel of shops, bars, etc. The cabin was nicely decorated, immaculate and we had wonderful service every day. There was more than enough storage, the beds were comfortable, the shower was ...

September 24th, 2022 we boarded Adventure of the seas from Bayonne NJ. Embarkation was a breeze, easiest boarding I've ever had. Debarkation was great also. They have really streamlined the whole process. I had cabin on deck 12. Spacious oceanview cabin. It was spectacular! Great size overall, plenty of storage, bathroom was standard. Room attended was fantastic. The bed was flat and ...

We cruised on the Adventure of the Sea on 9/15/22, cruising up the New England coast for 9 days. We flew into Newark International Airport on the morning of the cruise and used the Royal Caribbean shuttle, $55.90 for 2 people each way, to transfer from the airport to the ship which worked out very well. The bus picked us up around 9 AM and we were on the ship around 10:30 AM. Our first port was ...

Adventure of the Seas review A bit of background: this is cruise #30 for me, and the second after-shutdown – mostly on Royal, but with some Carnival, HAL, and Celebrity cruises thrown in for good measure. Embarkation was mostly smooth: we arrived at 12:30 for a 1 pm embarkation slot, and was surprised that we landed in the last (as far as we could tell) satellite parking lot. There’s been ...
