Very disappointed, why 5 watch shops, ship not pretty as other royal ships, no good shows/entertainment, paying customers very rude, I will try different cruise line next year. Staff friendly. All shops same thing. Not enough of different things to drink. People in customs even rude. Nice and organized debarking. Casino very small and if you like quick hit games then that’s the casino for you. ...
Went for a New Years cruise with extended family. Chose this ship because it included New Year in its intinary. First impressions were pretty good , but everything on thr ship is so expensive and the service just doesnt match other cruise lines. I upgraded to a Junior Suite but didnt get te cabin dservice I expected. I tipped early thinking that I would receive a good cabin service but found this ...
Our family sailed with this ship two weeks ago, with the expectation that we would be able to sail to Nassau, Bahamas as part of the entire itinerary. Unfortunately, we never made it there due to their claim that the ship had propeller issues that interfered with their original plans. With this said, this review focuses on the amenities that the Anthem of the Seas had to offer, and made us wonder ...
I had been on this ship two years ago and loved it. This time, not so much. Way too many kids for this time of year. Itinerary got changed twice. Food was generally abysmal. Very little recognition for being a C&A top tier member. Has really changed and not for the better.
The bright spot was debarkation; worked very well, everything flowed smoothly and very quickly. A nice change from the ...
Let me start with this: I love cruising. I've been on 15+ cruises, from the Odyssey of the Seas to the Nordic Prince that was retired ages ago, from RCCL to Princess to Celebrity to Norwegian to Holland America, and more. As cruises go, this was one I won't ever do again. This was supposed to be a "Fall Colors" cruise, but we missed the colors by a couple weeks, I think, as most trees were bare ...
The best part of this cruise was the two days in port at Bermuda. For the most part the food on this cruise was less than delectable. The upgraded meal at the reservation required restaurants was a bit pricey but better. The my time dining feature was horrible because there was always a twenty minute wait on a line to be seated. The cruise is targeted for the over 50 crowd, there was no sail ...
I chose this cruise because I live in an over 55 community and we were trying to go on a short cruise out of Bayonne so that most people could experience a cruise for the first time. We have 30+ people in our group.
I have taken many many cruises in the past and my expectations were not great but I understood that the price was so cheap that I really wanted to go with friends not really care ...
With the exception of the tuna salad in the Spa Cafe and the mushroom soup in the MDR, the food was horrible. Absolutely tasteless. My bathroom smelled like a sewer. For those 2 reasons I will never choose Celebrity again. Understaffed particularly in the bars. Would be a one star review, however the ship and my room were clean. Lots of the cushions in outdoor furniture need to be replaced. Plenty ...
My DH and I took this same cruise last year in a Sky Suite, but this year we upgraded to a Celebrity Suite, as a splurge. Not worth the difference in cost, but that was largely due to the decline in service around the entire ship this time. This was our 7th cruise on Summit. She has been our favorite ship as we appreciate the smaller size and intimacy as well as personal service. It was very ...
I would really like to give 1.5 stars, so I bumped it up to 2. I was overall pretty disappointed with this cruise. I just felt it was really lacking, and quite honestly, I felt like I was on Carnival a good majority of the time. And it seems as though that was the crowd that RCCL may have been shooting for.
Embarkation/Debarkation: One of not many positives, but easily the best experience ...
