Underwhelming experience

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

Even a mediocre cruise is great when compared to being at work, that said we have had better times the last two summers on NCL. Overall we had a good time, but I dont think anything stood out as much better than NCL. Unfortunately a few areas did seem noticeably worse. Room steward did his job, but there was almost no engagement. He didnt even say hello until the second day. On NCL we were ...

Wonderful Birthday Experience

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

My husband surprised me with a Bermuda cruise to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful gift, in that we had the best time. Our past few cruises have been with Viking Ocean. We have not sailed with Celebrity for the past 9 years. We were so pleased that Celebrity had as high standards as Viking and in some categories surpassed our Viking experience. We stayed in a suite and experienced all ...

My family and I embarked on this ship on August 17th, 2019 for a 6 night Canada/New England cruise. This was our 5th cruise overall, but our 2nd with Royal. Our first cruise with Royal was back in 2005 on the Voyager of the Seas for our honeymoon. Since then, we have tried a couple of other cruise lines, and we must say it was fantastic to return to Royal this time around and find out for ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We have sailed on Carnival several times, but were ready to take a chance on a ship that left out of New Jersey where we live. The fact that we did not have to book flights and hotels was awesome. We were a group of 49 family and friends. Embarkation was very smooth. We were on the ship in less than half an hour even given the fact that I neglected to print my son's boarding pass. We arrived at ...

We had an amazing time on the Anthem! My husband and I (mid-late-30's), our three daughters (13-11-6), and my parents traveled in three staterooms (two balconies and one interior virtual balcony for the older two children). The activities offered on the ship and ports on this sailing truly made for a perfect cruise vacation! Embarkation in Bayonne was quick and simple. We drove in from the ...

Cabin #10134 - deck 10 balcony room (just for reference). This is our 3rd trip on Anthem in 7 years. The good on the ship: Waiter in the English Pub was AWESOME! Big happy personality. Nearly all of the staff was very good aboard Anthem. Entertainment (with the exclusion of Spectra) was great. We Will Rock You is a must see. Most of the staff in the shops were very helpful and polite. ...

Very family oriented ship

My family selected this cruise because we did not need to fly to get to NJ and because we did not want a long cruise. The ship was nice, but many of the characteristics of other Royal Carribean ship were missing. For example the Schooner Bar was a stripped down version and lacked the normal boat. Kids pools were not separate from the other pools and children were always in the hot tubs. The ...

We traveled with a group of 12 people ranging from 24-84 years old. Frequent cruisers, prefer Royal Caribbean but have been on Disney, Norwegian, Carnival, Princess, and Celebrity. We choose this trip based on departure port as well as the new private island. Embarkation was a very smooth process, took a maximum of 15 minutes. We purchased the Ultimate Drink Package before boarding and ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

I enjoyed my cruise on the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda. I have cruised many times to Bermuda on different lines and I have cruised to extensively on all the major brands to many destinations. The last time I cruised with Celebrity was in 2001 so it was nice to return. Of course nothing stays the same and unfortunately some things that I loved about Celebrity has changed. Gone are pianos and ...
