We went on a tour with RC at night. It was in Puero Rico and supposed to be 2 hours long. Because of the devastation of the hurricanes it lasted an hour and we really didn’t go away from the ship. It turned out to be an hour long...Not 2! Next day we went on a tour with RC of St. Maarten. It was supposed to be 4X4 and turned out that we sat in traffic for over an hour because of the ...

The Good, the Bad and the Disappointing

I chose this cruise for it's convenience ( I could drive to the port) the length of the cruise and the itinerary. We enjoyed the cruise for the most part. The entertainment was a disappointment though. The shows they made a big deal about were not good. I really didn't come across anyone who said they were as good as the hype they gave them. The only show I heard people praising was the ...

This ship and itinerary were the only option for the dates we wanted (celebrating my mom's 91st birthday) and sailing out of the NYC metro area. My mom is a fan of old school cruises and we normally sail on Cunard, and have also sailed NCL and Oceana. Embarkation was a tad chaotic but quick once we found where we were supposed to be. I grew up in Weehawken, a few towns north of Bayonne in ...

Anthem a nice clean modern ship with good food, good shows and polite friendly hard working service people. the middle of the ship on deck 4 and 5 is a two level shopping restaurant mall, frequently crowded with sales and shopping deals. One can sit and people watch, no views of the ocean, easy to forget your on a ship. Three policys I found annoying and deceptive Bought the Drink Package: ...

We were a group of 50 duplicate bridge players so much of our cruising time was occupied. The playing facility led our planner to choose this ship two years running. But we came back because the whole ship is great! We loved the "sky diving" experience. The solarium is wonderful. Quiet, relaxing and comfortable, with such a variety if pools. The on deck movie one night, "Wonder" was a ...

pleasant cruise but ROYAL CARIBBEAN was better before impossible to get the cruise compass in french, the same for the menu less choices at restaurant, and always the same at market place now we have to pay to have a full breakfast in cabin I don't know if the reason is the departure from NEW JERSEY but there was bad behaviour for example, some people went to pool and jacuzzi with ...

We chose Anthem of the Seas because of ease, proximity and peace of mind. It sailed out of Bayonne NJ which is approximately 30 minutes from our house. Thus we were able to cruise without worrying about missing our flight due to ice, snow, and/or wind conditions. We have been on approximately 30 cruises, mainly on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, but also on Princess and Holland America. In my ...

2-25-18 sailed out of Bayonne, NJ. Weather was cold, ship was warm. Check-in......The Check-in was the smoothest I have ever had and I've sailed over 25 years. The ship was ready for passengers around 11:00 am. The ship itself was big and beautiful. The Ship..... Unlike other larger ships, this design is different on many levels. Instead of a "promenade" on deck 5, they use more of a split ...
