Starting from Cape Liberty, the embarkation process was a nightmare. We spent over 2 hours in an Uber less than a mile from the ship trying to get to the terminal. There were 2 college-aged "Traffic Enforcers" who did not but let the traffic back up for miles. Once we got to the terminal everything finally began flowing smoothly with the exception of the overcrowded security lines.

My wife and I scheduled this cruise as a convenient and varied way to spend time with her mother. While getting on and off the ship should have been a breeze, it was very smooth boarding and transferring from the airport, but disembarkation was a nightmare: no taxis for 45 minutes while hundreds of us stood in the rain waiting. I just got off yesterday and DO NOT recommend it.
I have been on a number of cruises and this was my 1st RC cruise, so I am unsure whether the ship or the company (or both) is poorly run, but my guess (based on the interactions prior to sailing with the website and 800 #) is that it is both.

Shaving quality at every opportunity and charging ever more to put back what once was included, RC has raised the cost to a level that there are better options. We chose this ship as it appeared there was so much for my 10, 13 and 15yr olds to do onboard. Affordable cruise to purchase until you are inside, fees that prior cruises where included so bring extra money. They charge even for cotton candy and popcorn. They told me the childcare was free and it’s not is from 6 to 8 per hour, we called Royal Caribbean costumer service and they keep saying the wrong information. on the first day, we were barricaded in the balcony stateroom due to ship employees blocking the door which opens outward, with suitcases. called guest service only to be on hold for 30+ minutes, and ended up forcing door open to get out for " safety video" and injured hand. to this day, guest services would not comment on the issue and still waiting to hear back from royal.

I have cruised with RCL at least 15 cruises. Every cruise has become more onboard revenue driven. Very limited variety of food. The temperature of the food is way off. On a few occasions we found lipstick marks on the "clean" cups. Very crowded with lines for everything.
