Cruising with my grand children

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

My daughter chose this cruise because it was before the school year started. Young children have many things to do. However, it was very crowded and extremely noisy everywhere. The entertainment was excellent. The casino was very Smokey and unpleasant. They had outdated stools to sit on and very few comfortable chairs. The machines are quite outdated and uninspiring. The video poker inventory was ...

For First Time Cruisers This Was An Amazing Experience

A cruise ship this size is really impressive the first time you are on one. It's is older but looked great to us. We liked the ship, our cabin, the ports we visited and the shows very much. We even got used to the 80s music all over so that we missed it when we got home. It was very cheerful and so are the staff, who are well trained. I have never had so many people trying so hard to make me ...

Celebrity should polish the silverware

The title of this review will be explained later, and it has nothing to do with hygiene. For identification purposes my wife and I have been cruising fairly regularly for the past 20 years. We are “older,” fairly healthy, we prefer taking the stairs to riding the elevator. Celebrity has been our favorite cruise line since the start, but we have also cruised on Princess, RCL, Holland America and ...

As expected considering the price

We had a nice time, there is no question about it. Staff was solid during the whole trip and there was always something to do. Entertainment was enjoyable outside of the family feud game which was a mess. The ship is from 2007 and you can tell at times. There might be a facelift in the near future. It did feel crowded so I think if we were to take another cruise in the future it would probably ...

The ship should be put in dry dock

I chose this cruise because I live in an over 55 community and we were trying to go on a short cruise out of Bayonne so that most people could experience a cruise for the first time. We have 30+ people in our group. I have taken many many cruises in the past and my expectations were not great but I understood that the price was so cheap that I really wanted to go with friends not really care ...

Old Worn out ship

Chose the cruise to experience Celebrity and due to close proximity to the port. The ship is old and in poor condition. There were sewage smells on the lower decks. The food in the dining room was hit or miss. On the last night we had chicken saltimbocca. It was the worst meal that I've ever had on a cruise. The buffet food was generally good, however the selections were lacking. There were ...

Celebrity is becoming the new Carnival?

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

My recent cruise caused me to wonder about the direction Celebrity is headed. The Summit is a well maintained vessel with staff that is very friendly. The quality of the food was good. There were, however, several areas of major concern. One, the dress code has become a total joke. Celebrity promotes itself as a "luxury" line but allows its passengers to dress inappropriately in various ...

We took this cruise because its itinerary was different. Martha's Vineyard, Bermuda and Charleston. Unfortunately we had two rough days at sea. When we left Martha's Vineyard and when we left Charleston we had very rough seas and it was difficult to keep your balance while walking on the ship. Also the entertainment left something to be desired. We don't like magicians and hypnotist. We had ...

Shoddy, old ship

This ship hasn't been renovated since it was launched in 2009 and it really shows. A cruise ship is a floating hotel. This is like a cheap roadside motel. One that is insanely crowded so you wait in line for everything. Every detail is wrong from the thin, stained towels to the table cloths in the main dining room, also covered in stains. We got to the show 30 minutes early and were turned away ...

Best cruise we’ve taken

We picked this cruise for its itinerary and didn’t know anything about the Summit. We loved the itinerary and felt that it had the perfect mix of days in port and days at sea. Embarkation was quick and efficient and bags arrived in our staterooms quickly. Our room attendant, Charlie, was excellent. The ship was lovely. It had recently been updated and although still not the most modern ...
