EMBARKATION: I stayed at a Hilton the night before the cruise and took the hotel shuttle to the cruise port in Bayonne. We arrived at the port around 10:45 to sit in a 45 minute line, 3 lanes wide. Embarkation was smooth and easy in Bayonne. Once our lyft driver dropped us off, we walked right up to an Ipad wielding staff person who retook our pictures (even though the ones we submitted were according to instructions) and then we waited behind 4-5 others in a short security line and within 10 min of walking in the door, we were on our way onto the ship at 11am! Summit is an older ship , but staff are wonderful and keep ship very clean. Food was good overall. Really enjoyed the food in the Café, especially the grill in back and stir fry. Entertainment was very good , only act we didn't care about was couple who did juggling and comedy.

The service on board the Summit was excellent and the entertainment great. I love the fact that they have a live band backing up the entertainers. Food was pretty good, but wait staff was excellent. Have sailed with Celebrity several types and never been disappointed.
Dining experience is fantastic, quality of food first class.
Staff and level of service excellent.
Ship is a little dated, but I believe it is going in for a refit next year, but that wouldn't stop me from using this ship again.

This was our 11th Celebrity cruise. Comments reflect comparisons to other trips we have had. It seems things are being cut back.
Entertainment was the worst I have seen on Celebrity. It appears standards are decreasing. Only one act had a double standing ovation. The production shows were lacking staging.Dancers were outstnding.

This was a 14 day cruise out of Bayonne, NJ. We paid about $2300 pp for a window cabin (#2002). (We scored pre-paid gratuities and a $350 onboard credit!) We do not usually rake cruises for several reasons. But, this one was very good.
We were in the Aqua Class. I would definitely recommend this. You have a private restaurant-Blu. We could eat at any time during the breakfast hours and dinner hours.
