We are a senior couple in our late 70s who have mostly cruised Celebrity over the past years. Have also cruised HAL, and earlier Princess, NCL and Carnival. we are Elite Plus on Celebrity. this year we decided to try RCL Anthem of Seas as we could sail from Bayonne NJ and also have a lot of celebrity perks that carry over RCL.
Have never been on a boat this large or with so many people . ...
I was looking forward to sailing on Oasis because I haven't sailed on RCI since Anthem in Oct. 2019 and I hate to admit it but it was rather disappointing.
Embarkation - Smooth as silk. Walked into terminal, scanned boarding pass , walked onto ship. Whole process took about 5 minutes
Cabin - We had a cabin overlooking Central Park on Deck 11 and it was very good. Heard jazz music ...
This is our 5th cruise with Royal Caribbean and I felt, the worst. We booked a September cruise because we believed there would not be as many children on the ship since school had recently begun. We were wrong. There were so many children, young and teens, on this cruise that it made it overly crowded(I heard the ship was at full capacity). Fortunately, the Oasis is a very large ship, so I was ...
**Oasis of the Seas: The decline of Royal Caribbean Sky (Suite) class**
We are relatively long-time, avid fans of Royal Caribbean, having sailed 16 times in either Sky or Star class suites. What we have witnessed over the past several years is what must be the intentional, planned decline of Royal Caribbean’s suite-class experience. The Oasis of the Seas June 23-30, 2023 sailing from which we ...
Cruising w/ RC used to be a first class experience for all. I feel they are now just trying to squeeze as many people on a ship and get every last penny out of their passengers.
First off, our balcony room on Deck 7 seemed smaller than other ships. When we arrived we found our room to be maybe 1/2 made, sheets off the bed, dirty linens found underneath the couch and speaking of the couch, the ...
This cruise was more young family with children forward, and not great for a handicapped couple. Slides and water park options were not handicapped accessible. Adult only area on deck 15 had fantastic small cold pool and hot whirlpool options and accessible. Our healthy option would be the solarium buffet because it was clean and efficiently run. Both the Marketplace buffet and Main Dining Room ...
First off - I would like to preface this review with the caveat that we got very unlucky with the weather - which was unseasonably cold in the Bahamas and Florida during the measly 3 days this itinerary had us down south, so that definitely tainted the entire experience a bit.
Embarkation - Very smooth. From our arrival inside the terminal to walking onto the ship, 25-30 min at most.
Muster ...
This was our 2nd time on the Anthem. First time we really enjoyed ourselves. This time we notice some changes in so far as the cleanliness of the ship. In the past, crew members were constantly cleaning all areas of the ship. This time, we notice things like in the windjammer, we had sat at the same table for lunch as we did for breakfast. How did we know, the same food scraps were still on the ...
My husband and I sailed on the Anthem of the Seas on the February 12, 2023 sailing. We have sailed the Anthem before, as well as other Royal ships. This trip just didn't quite live up to the others.
POSITIVES: Port check-in was seamless.
Our Stateroom Attendant, Harold, was pleasant and did a very nice job keeping our stateroom stocked and cleaned.
We absolutely LOVED the Las Vegas ...
To begin with, the cruise director said on Day 1 that the ship had reached a record in guest compliment, over 4700 guests and over 1300 children. You'd expect this to make the ship congested, but for the most part, it wasn't. There was such breadth of concurrent activities, that wherever you go, there's always room. Adventure Ocean and the Seaplex seemed to work miracles in keeping children and ...
