Small annoyances but a great itinerary!
"Our last four days (two ports and two at sea) were at best cool and cloudy, and at worst just yucky (mostly due to a storm from the west and then bumping shoulders with a northward-headed Hurricane Fiona), so pretty much anything outside was a bust.Best news: there’s a Costco quite literally on the way to the ship, so you can hit it up for your cabin snacks before coming on board!..."Read More

So disappointed!

My husband & I have been on Royal multiple times. In fact, one of our favorite cruises of all was on the Rhapsody - Greece & the Adriatic. We chose the Canada & New England cruise because of the itinerary. Unfortunately, this cruise ended up being the most disappointing cruise my husband and I have ever taken. We understood that the Adventure of the Seas is an older ship. We expected the ...

Old, dirty and bad food

This was the only cruise available for the time and itinerary for us. Getting on board was not so bad, lunch was ready before we could get into our stateroom. The room was a good size with plenty of storage area. There was a "cooler" for drinks, but we never got ice to go in it. The shower was black mold and all around the bottom, needed a good scrubbing. The balcony was the same way, ...

We cruised on the Adventure of the Sea on 9/15/22, cruising up the New England coast for 9 days. We flew into Newark International Airport on the morning of the cruise and used the Royal Caribbean shuttle, $55.90 for 2 people each way, to transfer from the airport to the ship which worked out very well. The bus picked us up around 9 AM and we were on the ship around 10:30 AM. Our first port was ...

Adventure of the Seas review A bit of background: this is cruise #30 for me, and the second after-shutdown – mostly on Royal, but with some Carnival, HAL, and Celebrity cruises thrown in for good measure. Embarkation was mostly smooth: we arrived at 12:30 for a 1 pm embarkation slot, and was surprised that we landed in the last (as far as we could tell) satellite parking lot. There’s been ...

I guess you could say we are "gym rats". Exercise has always been part of our lifestyle. In addition to entertainment and food, we enjoy all the other benefits onboard. living on the port of New York, we have enjoyed Norwegian, RCL, Princess and Celebrity. We have noticed that newer ships in all lines are dropping some amenities. Adventure of the Seas, while it does not have "Go-carts" ...

We chose to take this short cruise from our home port in the NY area because the price was good. My wife and I sailed on Royal Caribbean once before on Navigator OTS. We have cruised with primarily with Princess and NCL in the past. For this short Adventure cruise, we took our 4 year old daughter along. We booked cabin 7500 which is an "Ultra Spacious Ocean View." The cabin layout is unique and ...

So I booked this cruise for 3 cabins for a total party of 11 people. The boat is nice and seems to be well kept. The food was good and the staff in the dining room was great. They seemed to have a pretty decent handle on the covid thing and they had "guards" lol waiting at the buffet to ensure people washed their hands. Cabins were clean and nice. The ice skating show was incredible! The other ...

There were a few good things however the bad significantly outweighed the good. It was way too crowded. The hot tubs and pools were overcrowded. The room was need of repair. Some of the hinges did not work. Also, the service for the room was poor. On one day they did not deliver fresh towels. The food in the windjammer was not great and there was not enough variety. At least the food ...

Ok trip on the Adventure but RC needs to get it together

I will start by saying we had a good time. A lot of that had to do with simply being on vacation, cruising again and having people caterer to you. However, there were so many issues that make me question whether we had bad luck or RC is cutting costs everywhere. First, embarkation was a disaster. We were told the system was "down". People were standing outside for hours (11-2:30~ish). Systems ...

We decided to go on this cruise because on son and his family were going. It was a short 5 night cruise out of Bayonne NJ. When we entered the parking lot- it was mobbed- other cruise ships using it- we had to go to a distant outdoor lot. A walk from the terminal. They did have a shuttle bus if you wanted to wait for it. We entered the very mobbed terminal and check-in was smooth and easy. ...
