A big disappointment

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

I hate to do this because I have had several great experiences with NCL but this cruise was HORRIBLE and a huge disappointment. Our itinerary change was announced after we set sail despite rumors and reports it was going to be changed before sailing. No fault of their own since they can’t control the weather, so I don’t have a complaint about that. They made good on offering a 20% discount ...

The worst Crusie experience ever

This was my first experience with a cruise and it definitely made me feel that I should never do it again. Everything On this ship is a pay wall and definitely not worth it for the quality of what you get…even In The crappiest hotels , I could watch tv and use Wi-Fi without having to buy a damn package as if the cost of the cruise wasn’t expensive enough. The food was horrible , the activities ...

NEVER AGAIN - A SCAM

Our cruise departure from NYC was delayed by 2 hours due to the previous cruise experiencing “bad weather.” We were scheduled to be in Bermuda Tuesday-Friday morning. On Monday we were told we would not be in Bermuda until Wednesday due to the rough seas and we recieved a lousy $100obc per cabin. Seas were rough going down, 85mph winds and 45ft seas. On Wednesday morning when we docked, we ...

Getaway is Just a Smoky Casino

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

This is a terrible ship if you are at all sensitive or averse to cigarette smoke. The casino is the center point of the ship and you have to pass it if you want to eat or shop etc. It’s just a floating casino don’t be fooled. I had to stay in my stateroom a lot to avoid the smoke. The theater and library/game room are tiny for the amount of passengers. Not much w/o an extra fee for ...

Disaster

Ship was over 4 hours late departing. Check in was a disaster, took 3 hours of waiting in lines to board the boat. Also, parking was $315 for the week. Food is beyond terrible. I ate oatmeal and cereal everyday. We even ate at a speciality restaurant, ocean blue, and our meals were disgusting. People next to us were sending them back as well. Savory, taste, tropicana all of the included ...

Worst Cruse Ever

First I would like to say that I was extremely happy with the studio and am looking forward to my next sailing on Prima 10/6/24. Unfortunately I was extremely unhappy with a number of things on the Getaway. The majority of the meals in the main dining rooms were inedible. Either the meat was too tough to cut or the food was undercooked. I have been cruising for 40 yrs on various cruise lines and ...

Crew is fine

After 16 cruises I was rather shocked that such a form of cruising/ship still exists. The ratio staff to passengers is poor, even worse the ratio cabins to public rooms. On sea days you could sit nowhere and you had to retreat to your cabin. The fight for tables in the main buffet restaurant was usually challenging and the quality of food was 2 or 3 stars max. There was not one food display you ...

Cruise from Hell!!

First of all, our family room veranda and balcony were very small and impractical. The food menu contained no variety and the food itself was below mediocre. The swimming pool for the entire ship was only one very small, uncovered pool for all of the passengers aboard. It was unusable for at least 5 days because of cool/cold temperatures. The public bathroom nearest to the pool was out of order, ...

Excellent Crew Service

We have been on many cruises with NCL and other lines. By far this is the worst food ever on a cruise ship, poor quality, poorly prepared and the same food over and over again. The public areas of the ship needs to be gutted and redone; many small venues with limited space for patrons. The entertainment was very poor with the exception of the comedian and a singer by the name of ...

Horrible- food first

I look forwards to the dinners on the cruise. Get dressed up. Like going out to a restaurant every night. We loved our cruises on Azamara. This cruise the food was not good. I'd say it compares with a frozen entree from Walmart. The ingredients looked like they were high quality, but it was tasteless, mushy. The only thing I found that was good in the main restaurant was the always ...
