The quality of the crew, their attentiveness and professionalism was far lacking. It was apparent they did not care to be on the ship. From boarding to disboarding the overall attitude toward passengers made me wish I was not there. The quality of the food was horrendous, soups had no whole ingredients and were clearly powdered. I took this cruise as a last minute solo trip leaving from NYC as I could get a fare with no surcharge and no plane flight required.
The NCL site jerked me around on price a few times and "my" representative wasn't helpful at all. He promised to call me back after the fare doubled if there was something better (he didn't although fares dropped even lower).

Sailed the Escape last week with my wife and 8 year old daughter.
Overall a great cruise. The ship is amazing and the crew is wonderful. I can’t say enough how professional, courteous and efficient in every single aspect they are. That alone makes for a great time.

This cruise was a disaster from the beginning. Took the entire family to celebrate the high school graduation for my two oldest grandsons. When checking in at the terminal all but one of my group got their pass cards promptly. Getting the last card took over half an hour. For a new boat, the Escape had many flaws and was just average. It was ENORMOUS, but not in a good way, in my opinion. We just returned from our cruise on the Escape yesterday. We had an amazing trip that didn't not disappoint. The ship was beautiful! We were able to board the ship around 11 am (ish) and our rooms were ready just before 2:30. Believe it or not, our luggage arrived at our room at 3:00!

Chose NCL for Activities to entertain a 13 year old boy, amenities for two 80 year olds. Destination to beautiful Bermuda.

We went on this cruise because we were traveling as a family group of 24, with ages ranging from 2-96. It is not a cruise I would select traveling as a couple of empty nest adults. Frankly, the children's activities were also lacking, as described below.

We chose this after cruising with NCL on the Epic. What a terrible choice though. Officers told us the Escape and much of the NCL fleet was built in Germany, Epic was built in France. I will not cruise on any ship built in Germany again if that's the case.
