We chose this cruise as we wanted to see Bermuda. Unfortunately the weather meant we couldn’t dock there which is understandable but as it appears to be a regular issue NCL should warn you beforehand.

This is a lovely cruise ship and the staff are very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed the cruise. As far as NCL ships go I liked the Getaway as I also liked her sister the Breakaway. I found the ship roomy with lots of nice spaces and lots of things to do. This ship always seemed very crowded. The embarkation was very disorganized.Since we sailed out of NYC it was Cold and then cool for several days. We won a cruise for two through the casino, and it was wonderful. You had the typical elderly farts acting all doom and gloom, and the five dollar millionaires acting as though they have class, but after navigating through that, we made the best out of it.

We usually cruise on Disney but our kids are getting older so we tried NCL. What a mistake that was! We sailed on a family suite in the Haven. The food in the Haven never changes, but the ship is so crowded you can’t eat anywhere else. The ship has little to offer families and food is tough to find outside of meals.
