New Year Cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Venezia

Myself my husband, my Mother and my Grandmother all went on this cruise to the Bahamas. We live in central PA and took Amtrak into the city and a cab from the train station to the cruise terminal (which was very affordable). Once we arrived at the terminal we saw a very long line along the whole front of the terminal and down the street. This was my 9th cruise and I have NEVER seen a line like ...

Having previously sailed on the ship for its 4 Day US Inaugural to Bermuda and a 6 Day cruise to Canada/New England. I figured I would share some updated thoughts on the ship after being in service for 8 months. Embarkation: We arrived just prior to our scheduled window of 10:00am, made it through security and had no issues. After that however, there was a delay of clearing off prior pax, so ...

Don't expect an Italian themed cruise

I was super excited to hear about the Venezia as a new ship with an Italian theme to it. The decor was about it. It wasn't a bad cruise. There was very small pool on the lido deck. Plus side was the four different "shop" type restaurants/bars that were there. We were able to watch college playoff game on Lido deck. Very limited seating. Nit happy that the popcorn that used to be given for free ...

Good cruise over New Year's

I had read a number of the reviews going into this cruise, and honestly, I'm not sure I was on the same ship. The casino was just as smoky as other cruises I've been on. The line at the buffet was long, sure, at the one near mid-ship, not the 2nd line near the back of the ship, which is where we generally ate. Rooms were a good size, felt well designed, and had more closet space than other ships ...

Ok so we arrived at the port at our designated time and had to wait in line 2 hours before boarding. It was very chaotic! Then once boards elevators were slow and did not let us on our floor for a while. Once everything was settled we were able to explore the ship. Captain announced we could not leave port until next day due to weather. We arrived at Free port and I was disappointed with island ...

Very excited to board the ship and start 10 days of fun…what a joke …you leave out of New York and it’s day 3 before you hit warm weather. Then the staff is not true carnival wonderful staff there were a few who were top of the line most wouldn’t even smile and we heard SEVERAL say how much they hated it. Entertainment was subpar and seemed geared towards children more than anything. Needs to have ...

CARNIVAL VENEZIA ~ NOT WHAT WE HOPED FOR

DH and I just returned home from our 10 day sailing on the Carnival Venezia. We had really been looking forward to this sailing on the "Fun Italian Style Ship". We have been to all of the ports on this sailing before ~ Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Amber Cove, and San Juan so this was more about the ship than the locations. First of all, the ship itself is really beautiful. The decor is more ...

It’s our second time on cruise for last 12 years! The food was ok. We only did few days of the formal dining out of total 9 days since the formal dining courses sometimes were not impressive. However, we love our waiters and the manager at the dining place, also the staff at the market place are all friendly. My son has severe peanut allergy, the manager Edi at the restaurant always checked in ...

To start we cruise roughly four weeks a year. Have been very loyal to NCL and found that they have the best bang for your buck if you are a gambler. Took Carnival with friends and overall this is one seriously beautiful ship. Embarkation was amazingly easy and we were on board in less than five minutes. My wife is the gambler so we go thru casinos at sea. She had a drink package but we found ...
