Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Venezia

Just got back from an 8 day eastern Caribbean cruise on this ship. After about a 2.5 hour wait in line to get on the boat, we waited another 50 minutes for an elevator to take us to our floor. If we didn’t have heavy luggage I would gladly have taken the stairs up 6 flights instead of waiting. It was so bad we saw multiple families carrying their babies in strollers up the stairs. This would be ...

My husband and I just cruised this weekend for his Father's Day gift, The boat is insignificant compared to most we have cruised on, so it made very crowded. I see more staff standing around talking to each other instead of taking care of the needs of the boat and guest. With no big food selections, we felt as though ate the same thing every day and the menu was like the restaurant you paid to ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Prima

It has been just over a year since our cruise on the Prima and our first ever on Norwegian, at the end of February 2023. I have now fully processed our experience and can give an honest review, instead of an emotional one. Let me preface my evaluation by again reminding myself, and anyone reading, that we are beyond fortunate to even have the ability to sail to beautiful locations and our ...

My husband and I traveled with our two adult children, our son-in-law and our two grandchildren. There were 7 of us in three cabins. If I add up what everyone spent on this trip it probably came close to $26,000 not including air fare, hotel, and personal expenses. If I add that in it was closer to $30,000. We had a 2 bedroom Haven cabin and the grandchildren stayed with us, one adult child had a ...

I have been on over 20 cruises. I love cruising. I have cruised on Celebrity, NCL, Princess, RCL, Windstar and Carnival. I picked this cruise because of the ports. Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Kitts, St Lucia (was replaced with Dominica) Antigua, Barbados and Dominican Republic. It was a twelve-day cruise, and I traveled solo in a club balcony room. There was a solo group meet up each night at ...

Change of Itinerary Was A Big Deal for Many Passengers; Major Step Down In Buffet Quality

This was our second cruise on NCL. The first (to Mexico early last year) was so positively memorable that we really looked forward to the Getaway cruise leaving NYC on New Year's Day. However, our experience with this Getaway cruise could not be more negative. I am very surprised that the other reviews of this sailing were not universally negative. First, the change in itinerary. We believe that ...

We chose this cruise as a Christmas vacation. We would’ve had a better staycation. The ship is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. NCL packs their guests onto the ship like sardines in a can. Freestyle cruising this is not. The venues aren’t large enough to accommodate big groups of people. Any of the entertainment you have to make reservations for. The cuisine onboard is sub par ...

I've only cruised with Norwegian and wanted to try another line. I booked a premium balcony suite which is an aft corner cabin. Supposed to be a wrap around balcony. A bigger balcony. Decent balcony, small room. We arrived to our room and my partner asked if I smelled something. I didn't. I was outside mostly as we waited for our luggage. It arrived and we went for drinks and then to our ...

Some Good, Some Bad, A Lot of Ugly

We chose this cruise as a way to honeymoon without flying as we live close to the port. The price at the time was around $600 per person in an aft-view cabin, which was a good deal for us. However, knowing what we know now, we would have probably paid extra to some other cruise. Good: entertainment, most of the service, main and specialty dining food quality, drink quality, Grand Turk, and ...

Myself and my wife both tested positive one day after the debarkation. The covid 19 rules were not enforced anywhere even in small bars with a high energy atmosphere singing and dancing. There were people three times the capacity in Syd bar at any performance. We were literally inches from each other faces without masks. My wife and myself were the only one wearing a mask. 99.9% of people were not ...
